  • A little grease will help.
Style: Dishwasher
It's been a week since I got my Hamilton Beach dishwasher. So far, I am very happy with it! I noticed in the reviews that there have been some comments that there's a little leak in the back where the hoses connected. When I started to attach the hose to the back of my it was hard to tighten and that it would squeak. I decided to add some food grade grease to the back on the threading of the two connections. It let me tighten the hoses with little to no friction. I guess I could have used some cooking grease or butter instead as long as it's something digestible. This is what I did and it helped but I'm not advising you to do the same. That's up to you and I take no responsibility. Anyway, I love my dishwasher, it works great and has a lot of room for my dishes and pans. I should have bought sooner! ... show more

  • Exceeded my expectations
Style: Dishwasher
First off, let me say, the item in the pictures on Amazon is NOT the item you're going to receive. This model has a screen, and the front is laid out entirely differently and honestly looks a lot nicer, though I think it is the same size listed. I was so confused because all of the pictures I saw in reviews did now match the stock photos, so I didn't know what model I was actually going to get, so I'm telling you now, it's the model RDW3208-B, not RDW3208. That being said, after reading a LOT of reviews for counter top dishwashers, from a lot of different sources, I found this machine. I'm on a budget, so the low price was appealing. One of my biggest concerns was leaks, but from what I read in reviews, every one of these counter top dishwashers seems to come with that risk, so I figured that was a risk I'd have to take with any of these machines. So after some research, I was skeptical, yet hopeful that this was the dishwasher for me. At the time of writing, I think I was correct. To start I was very surprised about how easy and straightforward it was to setup. Just screw the cap/screen off my faucet, attach the quick connect adapter with a wrench, and attach the quick connect hose. That's it. Super easy. The manual explains all the various functions very well, and you get a lot of different wash options, a lot more than it looks like from the stock photos, so that was nice. So far I've used it about 20 or so times, testing various settings and detergents, and came to the conclusion that regular powder plus rinse aid seems to be the most effective, I'm using Cascade complete powder, and finish jet dry rinse aid, and it's very effective, it was able to get some very tough dishes spotless. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, I didn't think with our small kitchen we would ever have a dishwasher, but here it is, and it's made me and the wife's lives so much easier, and I think it was worth every single penny. ... show more

  • I thought the reviews were silly... BUT...
Style: Dishwasher
The media could not be loaded. I was very pleasantly surprised by this little thing. It is literally just a regular under counter dishwasher, cut in half. Very heavy, very effective and a great value. I was expecting a sort of knock off experience, but this is a legit, fully functional dishwasher. A lot of people referenced the rack, and even included pictures of how the manufacturer recommends you load it... I laughed at them because to me, that seems a lot like spending any length of time on like, a safety disclaimer on unplugging a cord. It's a formality, whatever puts a dish inside the shut door will work. But the rack really would be much better if it was just a uniform grid with pegs. The way this is designed limits you to a very small section for dinner plates, because they are too tall for any other part of the rack. That's my only complaint. Installation was very very simple and took only a few minutes. One thing- this goes for all dishwashers, they're designed to intake hot water, and dispense dish detergent on the second fill- run your hot water until you feel it get hot first, and use the little trap door for detergent. But yeah other than the rack the thing is really great. ... show more

  • Love this model
Style: Dishwasher
I had the SPT stainless version of this for the last 7 years, until the pump finally broke down late 2021. I tried finding the same model again, but couldnt find the SPT model. I saw this similar looking machine, and after looking at the pictures, it turned out to be the same model under a different brand. I bought it and it worked perfectly, cleaning up plates spick and span as long as you know how to load it properly. Even if you don't load it very well, somehow it cleans everything up nicely still. There is only one spray arm that sprays water from underneath, therefore, you want the occasional gap for water to reach the back of the bowls and pots. However, I often load it chock full of bowls, or with large pots and it still does quite well somehow. I think the Finish dish detergent tablets also help, but the quality of this dishwasher is still great. A normal load takes 1 hour and 50 minutes, with preset times it needs to take in and eject water. I write down the display time on the side of the machine so I can know when I can remove the adapter from the faucet if I need to use it quickly. There is one catch though and it still has not been fixed from the SPT version. If there is no water pressure when the dishwasher cycle needs water (e.g. adapter removed from faucet), it will display an error code that cannot be cleared and continued after turning the water back on. It can only be stopped by clicking the power button and restarting the ENTIRE cycle. As long as you can remember to turn on the water again, this is not a big issue. ... show more

  • Not worth the money.
Style: Dishwasher
Worked fine for 10 months. Once it quit working I contacted the hotline for troubleshooting to which I was sent straight to the warranty department. So I tried that. Followed the misleading and confusing instructions from that and was told my receipt wasn’t legit. So call after call they said they would be sending an email on the parts needed in two-three days. It’s been 3 weeks. I threw it away. Awful customer service. Nobody spoke English well. ... show more
