First pair of wireless headphones and LOVIN' it. Until now, I've been using an Amazon headset which, actually, is pretty good for my needs (tuning out the world while exercising). BUT I was wire bound..which sucks when you are on a rowing machine or a climber! The head band part sits in front of the knot on a hat so you can sit back on a plane and be comfortable!! Cannot stress enough how perfect the range is with audiobooks. These have a great response range, but it's not super bass like some of the higher end choices. If your looking for something that will do everything well, this is it. But if you want supper loud with heavy bass, you will be disappointed. I cannot listen to music and mow the lawn. But I can be totally immersed if it's an audiobook. ... show more

Edit: like many others noted, the plastic band started cracking after half a year. It's a shame that the headset's build quality is so low -- it's perfect otherwise. This review will be updated later as necessary. My first impression is great, especially after having to return 2 other pairs of headphones. Opus X offers the following at $80 (they work out of the box!): 1. ANC 2. low-latency audio 3. Wireless connectivity 4. Customizability and updates with the phone app Other headphones that claim to have all these functionalities either cost $150+, or straight up just don't work as intended (cue the two pairs I had to return). Was somewhat worried about the latency of Bluetooth headphones, but these came in just as good as wired ones. The microphone doesn't play well with linux, but since I already had a standalone mic that didn't really matter

About 7 hours of use in, and my opinions are the following : > They connect & reconnect (after being upaired to one device) FAST > If you like to wear items that get public attention in general or stand out, the neon green does that. How often to you see people wearing neon green headphones ? > The earpiece foam is the very generic foam that you would have found in headphones prior to the widespread use of memory foam/memory foam hybrids. If you can picture what I'll call "80's foam", thats what is in these headphones. Which means limited comfort and a much more limited foam lifespan. Because of the type of foam used, you'll also develop wear fatigue from the headphones sooner. I find myself moving them around every few hours because there 1) isn't enough foam and 2) the type of foam isn't really supportive of very long (ex: 5 hours) use sessions > The earpiece cups are just touching on being undersized without being undersized. So if you have larger ears and find on-ear headphones (these arent on ear, but for people with larger ears they will be in part) painful, these probably will not work for you. > Sound quality is fine, thus far its roughly comparable to my Skullcandy Crushers. Make sure you install the mobile app and tune the headphones to your sound preferences/needs. > The noise cancellation on these headphones is very reasonable. Not stellar, not terrible -- but reasonable. > Battery life : I'm about 7 hours in on the charge that they came with out of the box, and thus far the battery life like the noise cancellation is reasonable. Present conclusion : These are an "okay" set of headphones, but, if I were on a budget of around $100 usd for one set of over-ear bluetooth headphones, these would not be my choice.
