I wasn't expecting much from these in terms of anything. I know LED technology keeps improving but I admittedly still really like the warm glow of the old T5 filament style bulbs. These really surprised me in terms of the light color. I did choose the warm light color but they have proved to be as close to an older filament bulb as I have ever seen. Side by side there is very little difference . Since these are going were I haven't run any wires its almost not even noticeable. Installation is really simple and the efficiency of the collection panel is fantastic. Build seems on pair if not better than other brands I have purchased. The only unknown is the life of the battery. At this price if the battery goes it may be relatively close to the cost of a lower set quantity. Only suggestion I would make is if you are installing in rather stubborn ground or really want them as flush to the soil as possible. Install the spikes with a rubber mallet. The spikes are perfectly suitable for their intended purpose. But are not going to old up to being stalled with a hard faces hammer. ... show more

    • Love the lights but the ground spikes are NOT good.

The lights themselves work great, very happy with them. But it does take a bit to put together the two pieces for the ground spike and attach them to the lights. Then when I went to take them off after using them for the first time, the end of the installation spike broke off. Some of them broke far enough up on the spike that I could get the piece out of the light. Some of them broke off in the hole in the light so no way to get them out. Either way, there is now no way to attach the installation spike. Very disappointed by this. They were not exactly cheap so I expected better performance of all the parts. For the price I did not expect much, but I thought any light would be helpful. It actually produces a considerable amount of light at night and we are very pleased. I think I’ve bought about four to six boxes so far and we put them all over our backyard our front yard and down our center island. I was afraid they would not get enough sun to produce light but they actually work great. They suggest not putting them together before putting them in the ground, I highly disagree with this. If you dig a cross shaped hole for it to fit in you just wedge it gently into the ground and you are good to go. Turn them on as you put them in the ground. I would definitely recommend this product. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Big plus…you don’t need an electrician. ... show more

Ordered these to put around our tent to light up the guide lines. The lights have done their job and look great, but one of them hasn’t ever worked. They were easy to put together but make sure the ground is soft-several of the plastic prongs (small part that attaches the light to the base) have broken off but even with one or two prongs broken, the lights still attach to the base. ... show more

These lights are awesome! I bought 3 kinds and compared the light output of the three and this one won by a long shot. Love the seamless integration and the fact that the give you extra bases in case they break.. we broke one base while installing them so it was good to have the extras.
