Grandson liked this bat. His friends also enjoyed batting the baseballs with it.

My just 14 year old playing travel 13u. Loves the balanced swing. No vibration off end of bat or hands. As much pop as any BBCOR out there. Just started using so no review on durability yet. Definitely recommend!

  • Great bat!
Size: 33 Inch Color: 2024 | Glowstick
I despise spending this much money on a bat and used to tell my kid that a bat didn’t matter because it was all about his mechanics. I was wrong. Bats matter. You won’t be disappointed with this one. It’s a dinger hitter!

  • Is it worth the price......
Size: 31 Inch Color: 2024 | Gold
My son was dead set on this bat. I wasn't. Mainly because the price. It's around the same price as a loaded bat. My thoughts usually are, save your money for the loaded bats because all BBBcor bats are the same. However, I gotta say, my son has been hitting dingers off of this bat. Same dingers he hits with his loaded bat. He is 13 years old. The fields are bigger this year but he's already hit a few off the fence with this bat. I definitely think there is something special about this bat. Is it worth the money?? I think so. If your son is serious about baseball and plays competitive baseball, then I definitely would suggest buying this bat. ... show more

  • Great Feel, Sound, and Pop
The media could not be loaded. The Rawlings ICON BBCOR bat has been a really nice addition. My son has primarily swung Marucci bats since he started playing ball. His first home run came at the end of his 10U season a few years ago. Up until he got the ICON for his birthday he has hit everything with either Marucci CAT 9 and CAT X (USSSA) and CAT (USA) bats. Most of his home runs have been hit in his 11U and 12U travel seasons with USSSA bats on 200' fields. He did manage a few home runs in Little League and Cal Ripken recreation leagues with his Marucci CAT (USA) bat, also on 200' fields. Last fall he swung a variety of bats his 7th grade season and didn't really come close to getting anything out. His primary bat last fall was a Marucci CAT 6 (BBCOR) but he also used a couple bats from teammates, most notably the Louisville Slugger META (BBCOR). He could have used the CAT 6 again this year but his #1 birthday gift request was the Rawlings ICON (BBCOR). He really wanted the Glowstick but it was sold out and wouldn't be restocked since it was a limited run. No matter, the Glowstick is just a repaint of the stock ICON, otherwise it's the same bat. Anyway, he had a really nice 8th grade season. He finished with a .511 batting average, .978 slugging, 9 singles, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, and 23 RBIs in 52 plate appearances. He loved the ICON! All of his home runs were on his home field which is the high school field with a temporary shorter fence for junior high. The short fence is 250-260' while the high school fence is 300' in the corners, 330' in the alleys, and 355' in center. His last home run one hopped the high school fence and estimated (with Google Earth's help) at 305'. Every other school plays on their high school field without a shorter fence. There were at least two doubles he hit in away games that would have been home runs on the home field. I never thought we'd buy anything but Marucci. He's hit 23 in game home runs since that first in 2021, and nearly all were hit with Marucci bats. He was ready to try something else, and it was difficult spending $400 on a new bat, but the ICON has been everything he had hoped it to be. He loves the feel, the sound is spectacular, and it's got the pop he wants in a BBCOR bat. You can really hear a difference when he gets all of one. No question he had a better season at the plate with the ICON than he would have had with the CAT6 he swung last year while in 7th grade. He's wanting the Rawlings ICON (USSSA) for Christmas and says he's ready to retire the CAT X (USSSA). It's only been a couple of months of middle school baseball but we're sold on the ICON. He highly recommends this bat for school baseball. I'm sure he'll start swinging the USSSA version for travel very soon. ... show more

  • Expensive bat, but worth the money
The media could not be loaded. My son wanted this bat. Told him it was too expensive and if he wanted it, he would have to spend his own money. He dropped the $500 for it at dicks sporting goods. First bucket of balls he hit, he missed everyone of them. Not sure why. His previous bat was a Maruchi drop 3 catx and was able to hit most everything with it. He adjusted his timing and the next 2-3 buckets and was soon connecting. Said he liked the feel of the bat. Later that same day he had his first game with the ICON bat. Walked the first at bat and the second at bat, well.... watch the video. ... show more
