We originally bought it as a Christmas gift for our grandson. (I buy things early and store them) We opened it early and Grandpa and grandson had an amazing time together building and reconfiguring things. We kept the first kit here so the grandson would have something cool to look forward to. We didn’t repack it and Grandpa can’t stop adding to it! It stimulates his mind and gives him a lot of fun time. He shares the new layouts with our grandson and it has created a wonderful connection between the two.     • poor shipping package
I have no complaints about the product itself. It's fine and our grandson was delighted to add it to his Gravitrax system. My criticism is of the shipping package. There was none! The shipping label was slapped onto the clear cellophane wrapper of the item. Upon arrival, it was impossible to completely remove that shipping label without tearing the cellophane. I know everyone is trying to reduce shipping materials, etc. but if this had been a gift for someone who lived with me, the surprise would have been ruined. As it turned out, on Xmas morning, when the child opened his gift, he couldn't see what it was because the picture and name of the item were covered by the remains of the shipping label. 5 stars for the product, BIG FAIL for the packaging! ... show more

The hall doesn’t actually transfer onto the zip line. It just bumps into a ball already on the zip line. Kinda boring.

Great toy. My son wanted it for his 9th birthday. It definitely was a hit and he spends a lot of time building tracks.

    • Fun but a little picky
This is a neat addition, to a track, but it is a bit picky to use. The marble car that runs along zip line tends to fall off the track, and nearly always does after it has made its run. Because of the length of the arm on holding the marble to the track it has to be positioned on an angle to get it to sit properly in its start position and still be attached to the zip line (which also leads to it falling off the track at times). It also doesn't run very smoothly on the track... It doesn't get caught up or anything, it just doesn't visually move as smoothly through its "zip" as I would like it to. All in all it is neat, just not quite a neat as I was hoping. ... show more

This set does not come with the pieces needed on each end of the zipline in order to use it. The plates and bars on each end that the zipline track clicks onto are not included with this expansion kit. It states that it can be used with a starter set, but the starter set only has one bar included. In order to use this kit, you would need another expansion kit that also uses a bar or buy another complete starter kit. This is very deceptive in the way they package this kit. If the bars are included in the picture for the item, then is reasonable to expect they would be included with the kit. If not, there should be a way to buy just the needed pieces. ... show more
