I've now used these in 3 installations all in rack-mount situations to connect from a patch panel to a switch and for interconnecting between a switch. 1FT is great for interconnecting between 1u applications. Just be aware that you may need 2FT if you're connecting a patch panel to a 16 port switch where all the ports are one side of the switch and not spread across. I consistently use a mix between 1ft and 2ft versions of these for all of my needs and they're an excellent value. I've enjoyed using these cables in my workshop, where I had to cascade two Meraki 10 port switches, and connect a couple of MiniPCs in close quarters. No wasted cable, and while I haven't tested them at rated 10gig speeds, they work fine for 1gig both for link bonding between switches and going to the other very-nearby devices. One of the reasons I got these patch cables is for their clear ends. This works exactly as I hoped it would. They glow green from the light of the network switch ports. One thing to note is these cables are thinner than a standard CAT cable, however they are still CAT6 and I've had no performance issues. I did have an issue hooking them up to my PoE cameras bridging the two female ends. The foam gasket to make it water tight doesn't seal properly because of their thinnerness. ... show more

I was having an issue with previous CAT6 cables having those thick rubber boots that wear out over time so they were hard to remove. These ones look really nice and don't have the boot. They get full 10Gbps as well.

These thin cables are awesome. I especially like the release tab. Normal cables snag and hang when pulling them through a bundle, even the ones with rubber boots covering the release tab. The design of these do not do that. Unlike standard tabs or even rubber booted tabs, the extended-release tab design of the patch cables makes releasing them from a jack/port so much easier. The thinner cable makes the bundles much smaller. Have not noticed any performance impact, bandwidth reduction or user complaints about network performance. 100% will be using these on future jobs. including my own home and office. ... show more
