I was impressed with this ramen cooker. I saw some reviews that said their ramen didn't fit in it. I was using a package of Manchuran ramen and it fit just fine. It was a thicker plastic than I was expecting since some people said It felt flimsy. I don't agree. I filled it up to the line and intended to cook it for 4 minutes (it said 3-4) but at 3 -1/2 minutes I wasn't 100% sure if it was going to boil over so I stopped it. One of the complaints I read in reviews was that the ramen absorbed a lot of the water and so didn't really leave enough for soup. That was actually a selling point for me since when I make ramen I tend to drain most of the water and eat it like pasta with a little bit of the flavoring packet sprinkled on. So the other reviews were correct, that it did not leave a whole lot of water in there. If you want really soupy soup, you would have to add more water, but I would not recommend adding it while cooking because it will boil over. I thought the ramen was a little more gummy than when I boiled it in the past, although I have to admit it's probably been 10 years since I've eaten a packet of ramen so I could be mistaken or they could have just changed the product. I was surprised that the plastic handles were not hot when I took it out of the microwave and even the bottom of the container was not super hot when I went to eat it. It was definitely a plus that I could eat it out of the cooker and save a dish. I don't normally like to microwave plastic but this is definitely really convenient plus it helps it it says it is BPA free. Finally, I love that the instructions for how to use it or actually imprinted inside the cooker so I don't have to hold on to packaging to remember how to use it. ... show more

Mine arrived in what looked like new factory packaging, but with one of its four lid clips broken, plus deep scratches in its inside bowl bottom. Desperate, I decided to keep it anyway because I’m so tired of being scalded by spills. Due to a stroke, I’ve but limited use of one hand and hot foods are always a danger, and this little bowl allows me to steam/reheat stuff in the microwave with its handle never getting hot. Even more miraculously, mine having only three clips still keeps its lid on, vents steam as designed, and lets me hold it comfortably on my lap with one impaired hand as I maneuver my wheelchair with the other, all while keeping me unburnt and rendering my ramen/chicken/broccoli lunch not only edible but delicious. Yes, it would’ve been ethical to inform me that the product was used, but I guess somebody in quality control wasn’t paying attention. I’m not at all unhappy and can live with a handicapped soup bowl, being handicapped myself. But this bowl far outclasses its quality control department and that’s a shame because it might deter future buyers from buying. This is a wonderful little product! ... show more

More than worth the money. I've used mine almost every day at work or at home for the kids. I've made many different kinds of ramen (mostly Asian ramen) literally 1000's of time with this cooker. I've eaten directly out of it 100's of times with metal utensils with no scarring or gouges evident. It's a snap to clean and I've ran it in the dishwasher almost every time I've used it. Still in great shape. Directions are embossed on the bottom with a water fill line around all sides. I tend to put mine in the microwave for 3 mins most times depending on the type/brand of ramen (in a 1000 watt microwave) stir and leave on the counter for a few minutes stirring occasionally before draining (I make all my ramen dry-ramen style). In short it's a time saver. I've had many people run their mouths about boiling water and doing it the standard method and this being pointless. I reply with the facts of the ramen being done by the time you get the water boiling, I don't have to attend it while it cooks and it doesn't make the house humid while its summer. It's also great for college students as most aren't allowed anything but a microwave in their dorm. I got another one locally for my nephew he agreed it's works great. And it works way better than just boiling water in the microwave and cooking it in a Tupperware container. ... show more

This was a replacement for my 5 year old noodle cups. I add hot water to my noodles and then 2 minutes in the microwave. This cup is not meant to go into the microwave for over three minutes, so it works well for me. I have a tremor so the handle is a plus. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Quality product. Thick plastic material that is very durable and way to clean. I do not know exactly how it works so well but it does. Ramen plus cold water and 3 minutes in the microwave and it’s piping hot with noodles perfectly cooked. So yea it actually works. I love ramen., i just hated cooking it. I never want to take the time to boil the water and then cook the noodles, dirty up a pan. I saw the good reviews for this and thought what the heck. OMG. I just put in my noodle brick, fill it up to the line with water, microwave for 3 minutes and it comes out perfect. I don't like my noodles mushy and 3 minutes is perfect to keep them a little al dente. If you wanted them softer just microwave it for 30sec to 1 minute more. I'm so giddy that I found this. My kid is obsessed with eating ramen almost everyday. I bought these because he gets impatient waiting for the water to boil. These are fast, efficient and do the job plus I can throw them in the d/w after. I liked them so much I bought more. Based off what I have tasted they don’t cook to perfection but my kid doesn’t seem to mind.
