I know it’s 4 stars but I love this for my toner. Before I would pour alot of toner on my previous toner pads and it would soak a lot of it up, but this one on my first time using it, I poured the same amount that I used to on my previous pads and There was STILL ALOT LEFT on my pad where I had to move it down my neck and upper chest.     • Total skincare game changer

    • Better than cotton balls
I was using this type of sponge pad by a Korean company and loved them. When I went to reorder I saw these were cheaper and got these instead. They’re better than a cotton round or ball because they barely absorb product (toner, etc), but they’re not as strong/nice as the Korean ones I used. These kind of roll up and are harder to use, but I still rated them high bc they still get the job done with minimal product waste. I do rip them in half to make them last longer so perhaps I should use these as a whole and rip the Korean ones in half. ... show more

    • They curl and rip very easily
I like that they are thin and absorb less product, but they are a little too small. They either need just a little more surface area or a little more thickness because they curl up when I’m trying to apply toner to my face. They crumple up or disintegrate every time, despite my best efforts to be gentle with them. I’ll finish the box, but they are too much work to spend money on again ... show more

    • I never knew I could feel so strongly about a cotton pad!
The Rael Beauty facial pads are, I think, my favorite pads I have ever tried. They only pill after heavy use (on my face, neck, chest, AND arms), and when they do, the pilling doesn't flake off onto the skin but rather stays attached to the pad. They are very slim, so one package will last me a much longer time than any amount of typical cotton pads even taking up twice the amount of space. Lastly, they are very effective at dispersing product, so I go through my chemical exfoliant much more slowly than before, which I am very happy with. They are also visually pleasing, at least as far as a product like this can go. If you are worried about going zero-waste, I still recommend getting reusable facial pads. I was going to go this route, but I am not convinced there is a reusable pad out there that has such a nice sensorial experience and spreads my facial product so effectively. And as I only use facial pads for my chemical exfoliant, about twice a week, this box will easily last me a year, which is much lower waste than other cotton pads where I would have to use 2-3 since they'd dry up and start pilling horribly. If I could only make one request, it would be for the brand to switch to hemp instead of cotton- hemp is much more environmentally sustainable than cotton, and much more financially viable (3x higher yield and requires much less water and pesticides). Hemp has had a pretty intense smear campaign against it in the past by cotton and paper companies because it is such a better material, by falsely associating it with drugs. But with the zero-waste movement becoming popular as more people are environmentally aware, an accessible and trendy brand like Rael could be the first in on a widely accessible hemp face pad, which would give them great business with the ever growing environmentally-conscious market for a fraction of the production costs. All the same, unless I find some hemp pads that provide an experience as good as these with a similar cost, these will be my go-to cotton pads, something I never knew I could be so particular with! ... show more

    • Uses 1/4 the product!!!
I recently upgraded my skincare regimen from Proactive to Cle De Peau which is one of the most expensive skincare lines available; However, it's truly AMAZING!! Anyways, I was using the cotton circles included with the Proactiv because they are as thin as paper and use a tiny amount of product. Well, I ran out. So my sales associate at Neiman Marcus recommended I use the facial "sheets" also made by Cle De Peau because they're supposed to be better for your skin, increase the efficacy of the product, use less of the product, etc., and they cost $25 plus tax for 200 sheets. They're soft and feel great on your face because they're made of cotton and silk. After using them 3X I noticed both toner bottles getting lower and lower extremely fast. So I started cutting the sheets in half thinking it would help me use less product and that didn't work. I am so grateful I found these facial sheets. They are AMAZING!!! They use 1/4 the product which is even less than the sheets from Proactiv. Just use one pump or put the sheet on top of the bottle and turn it over really quickly onto the sheet and let it spread out (takes about 3 seconds). Before you know it, the entire sheet is covered in product and spreads it across your entire face and neck. Do they feel like silk, no. Do they save you hundreds of dollars on products, YES! And if you're thinking about buying the facial sheets from Shisheido, don't. They make the same ones for Cle De Peau. They get 5 stars and feel great but I'd rather buy toner every 6 months versus every month, especially when it's $105 a bottle. I will be stocking up on these sheets!! ... show more

    • Spending more on these to spend LESS on PRODUCTS!
If you use essences you know they can get pricey. I still use regular cotton rounds but ONLY for witch hazel and cheaper products. For my essences and such, I use these. They aren't meant to be especially absorbent which is why you're wasting less of your facial products with these. Just a FEW DROPS of my essences now go further because they're not being absorbed by the pad. I use to toss cotton pads still damp and heavy with product after use. Now I am seeing my bottles staying fuller LONGER because of these. What a smart product. Glad I discovered them. ... show more
