Assembly took a little effort but it’s fairly easy overall. When put together, it’s rock solid with good adjustments for steering position and even the 4 legs can be independently adjusted to ensure that it doesn’t wobble. The only knocks are some funky looking welds (painted/coated over so it’s not something you’ll really notice) and some sharp edges on the flat metal pieces, but not enough to take away a star. Appearance is very durable. Weight is expected for the very much real metal and light weight at all. Money value is also expected. Easy to setup, just gotta do it right and work with what you have. It comes with tools as well which is nice and also expected for such things.

    • Very poor quality control and some design flaws

So I saw some mixed reviews but figured it would be ok for what it costs. It's just OK. 1. Poor quality control - The paint job was terrible. There were multiple spots where they repaired scratches with a rattle can. You could see the overspray and it looked terrible. Also, the paint wasn't fully dried when they packed it and the bubble wrap left marks on the paint. Fortunately, I had a Scotch Brite pad I rubbed it out wet and got most of the overspray to blend in so unless you know what you're looking for, you might not notice it. Also, the welding job was horrendous. The pedal mounting board was out of square by almost 1/2" along the back edge. It can be noticeable if you know its there. 2. It's marketed as a foldable stand but it really isn't. While you "can" fold it, its very awkward to try to do so and the hinge bolt is not a locking bolt so you have to loosen and retighten it each time you fold and unfold it or everything will be wobbly. 3. As others have noted, it is short on flat washers for the larger diameter bolts. No excuse for that. However, at least it does come with enough M6 x 1 screws to mount your wheel and pedal assembly. 4. The caps that fill in the front end of the pipes are really cheap and just about fall out by looking at them. The threaded inserts at the front look very unfinished for a non-available accessory chair and should be eliminated. 5. The placement of the front adjustable feet are too far back and that makes it easier for the stand to tip forward. I will need to add about 10 lbs. of weight to the back to better balance the unit. 6. The vertical height adjustment uses 2 knobs that dig into the tubing to tighten them down. It leaves big gouges in the pipes that you will see if you raise the height of the wheel. Also you have to be sure to pull up on each side evenly or the wheel assembly will be crooked. In closing, I cannot recommend this unit at all. I was able to make it work, but once you adjust everything you need to tighten everything down really well to stiffen it up so it's not easily adjustable for different people in the family. The only reason I kept it is because I'm the only one that will be using it and I have enough room that I don't have to fold it up after each use. ... show more

I am using the TurtleBeach VelocityOne Flight controller with this stand. The fit is excellent even though the stand is not designed for this device. You can even use the clamps that are provided with the controller. The stand is heavy, sturdy and made of all steel materials. It will last for a long time. It is expandable; you can add a seat and other pieces attaching to the already drilled holes. The instructions are a very simple set of pictures that do not do a good job of telling you exactly how the pieces go together and what fastener to use. Hope you can see from the picture m. The stand is perfect perfect. My grandson added all the extras because it is only a stand. You have to buy the wheel, game and other items. But it was stable, easy to put together and a great price.

    • Shakes a bit but works well

If you have a force feed back steering wheel it will shake the stand which is a bit annoying but for the price this was an amazing starter stand. After a month or two screws might start falling out so be sure to snug the screws tight. It's been a few months and she's still holding up so I'm happy. 4 stars for the couple minor faults and shaking. besides that for the price very good starter stand ... show more
