A great replacement for the standard Fluidmaster toilet replacement that you see in the hardware store. The problem with many units is that even at the maximum level setting, there isn’t enough water in the tank to clear the bowl. This doesn’t save water if you have to flush two or three times. Some alternative units are too high to fit in the tank. This R&T unit, on the other hand, is adjustable. An extra inch of water in the filled tank makes all the difference. It is easy to install, except that it takes a pair of pliers to loosen up the level adjustment knob—do this prior to installation. It’s quiet, and refills the tank quickly. The most time consuming part of the process was plowing through all the irrelevant units returned on the Amazon search engine to find this perfect solution for my problem. ... show more

    • A 5 Minute Job!

The toilet fill valve on one of my toilet came apart, something broke under the water pressure and there was only one viable option: replace the fill valve. I was decidedly nervous as we all know how a supposedly easy job can result in multiple trips to the local home improvement store and endless trips to the tool chest! I glanced at the instructions, but the print was really small (!!) and I had already YouTubed how to do this. Easy repair, no hiccups, the part set up matched the old fill valve, good value, sturdy, arrived with lightning speed (much appreciated!!). The only thing was the tube part that fits through the bottom of the tank was not as long as the old one, and the nut that came with this fill valve was too wide. So I used the nut from the old fill valve as that nut was not as wide and it was in perfect condition. I had actually seen this as a possible hiccup on one of the many YouTube videos I had reviewed, so was prepared for this. ... show more

Being a single woman, tackling anything like plumbing or repair can be a challenge. This was super easy except for the washer/nut combo holding the valve in place. I have use these to replace the fill valves on two of my Mansfield toilets and both have worked flawlessly ever since. If your toilet won't stop running and inspecting the inside of the top of the toilet shows that water is overflowing into the top of the flush tower, and manually lifting the valve float doesn't stop it, then you likely need a new fill valve. ... show more
