I had been looking for some sort of family-oriented piece of decor to hang with a grouping of framed photos in our family room, and this wood sign worked out perfectly. There is one area where I have a tall chest of small drawers with shelves that I have converted into a family history area, and the photos and this sign hang above this chest. I keep albums I've been putting together on the shelves so they're out where everyone can access and view them anytime, plus have genealogy paperwork with important documents in the drawers, and old tapes and reels. A sign like this was ideal to sort of announce what this part of the room is about - bringing all of our family together. It's really natural and rustic looking, but also elegant, warm, with mostly a whitewashed looking background with a little gray for a vintage appearance, some whimsical writing, and rich yellow/gold in the floral element. In terms of size, it's not too tiny, but also not so big that it would detract from everything else. Smaller then expected. Made of light weight wood material and an adorable quote "together we make a family". The design is a vintage country flare. The back ground of what seems like an old news paper articles covers the wood like plank. If I had to guess it appears to be printed on. I like the appearance of heaviness but actually light weight. Would make a cute counter top display if your into vintage country style and sunflowers. ... show more

This is a solid piece of wood with a well applied print. I have both styles by the same company. I mounted this with adhesive tabs instead of hooking it onto a nail. It works for my decorative needs as a wall space filler, and came as described.
