Some small details get lost, but this is normal with diamond paintings. The entire image does come out clear. I did lose by accident one bag of drills and just made do with another which matched so-so the lost color. The kit comes with enough drills which leaves you with a lot as leftovers, which to me is a good thing; no worries in losing a few on the way. The end result is very colorful and very fun to do.
