I've been fighting myself purchasing a dad hat but I was in need of better sun protection. So I did it. I got myself a dad hat & I'm lovin the vibes. This hat won't completely block the sun but you'll be living a life you didn't imagine. Grilling & vibing. Boating & vibing. Hard seltzer & vibing. Possibilities are endless. Okay so for the comments saying it's floppy. Yes it does have flop & will get flop with wear. This hat is cotton. That's it's nature. What I did was just starch & iron the brim. Problem solved. For the other comments stating you can't wash it. Yes you can. Put it in sink with warm water & a bit of soap. Let it soak & gently rinse or re-soak in clean water a couple of times. Then lay flat to dry. You can also spot clean it with a wet cloth. Just don't put it in the washing machine. I do wish when it was package it wasn't wadded up in the box. For brim size mine was 3 inches. I ordered a couple as many reviews wrote that the brim size was inconsistent. Mine where all about 3 inches. I would order a couple to be on the safe size. For dome size. My head is usually a m or m/l for hat but I ordered the l/xl. I don't like my hats tight fitting. The size is a bit loose on me but that's what I wanted. I got this hat not too long ago, and I don't normally wear these types of hats but it fits well. I got the XXL and I have a smaller than average head and it fits a bit loose but fear not, because the strap works very well to keep it on your head if you're doing gardening or outdoor activities. My Ping boonie no longer fits ... long story & no can find another one & yellow better for guys no wanting to get hit by other golfers. Choices few, why not try this one? Well, the ad color is TOO ORANGE and the reality is NOT YELLOW per se. Still, it's yellow-orange enough for me, visibility and thankfully not Burnt Orange here in Aggieland, else the ribbing would not be fun at golf. Was afraid I would need the chin tie on this windy hill course BUT NOT! As comfortable a fit it is, the design is wind-wise and stays on! Lightweight & I don't sweat as much when 100F temps approach like other bonies & even golf caps. The brim is NOT as sturdy as Ping's double thick but have adjusted to that. The hat is definitely comfortable and fits well, however, the color is much darker than the picture. Still like the hat. Took out the string as I'm using this for golfing.
