What I first liked about this product was the size. Most of the tent/carports I found were 10' wide. That is big enough to get a car in for storage but is kind of tight to get the doors open on both sides so the 13' worked perfect for us. Lots of room to pull in and out of easily. I also really liked the ease of set up. My wife and I set this up easily in less than an hour without any additional tools required. The instructions were very easy to read and understand and most of the poles just click together. I also really liked the sturdiness of this tent. We had several pretty good wind storms and with it weighted down it did fine. Unfortunately, we did get hit with a massive wind in mid February that was too strong and damaged 3 of the roof poles. I knew the warranty did not cover wind damage but had read in other reviews that they would sell you replacements for half price if it wasn't covered. I emailed customer service and explained what had happened and just asked how I go about buying replacement poles. They responded right away that they would ship 3 new poles free of charge within 2 business days. I didn't even have to pay shipping. Happy to see a stand up company and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tent. ... show more

It only took my husband and me about three hours to put it up. The instructions were great and very clear. The poles and support pieces were straight, strong, and inserted easily into connecting pieces. The cover is well constructed and sturdy. The zippered end walls are strong as well. The carport is quite large...we will be putting a pickup truck and motorcycle inside. My husband and I are so impressed with this carport. I researched several, read numerous reviews, and decided to give this one a try and soooo very happy with this purchase. It is well worth the cost to be able to have a truly well made product like this carport! ... show more

This is not a permanent structure. Needs to be secured well. If you let the wind beat the tent around, it's going to get destroyed. Limit the amount of movement the material has when the wind blows so its not stressing the anchor points. Use extra straps, get creative. But this is not a hurricane ready tent. 3yrs later the tent has held up against many blizzards, hurricanes, and blistering heat. Theres a couple tears at the anchor points, it was expected. Use ratchet straps across the doorways to prevent the material from pushing side to side. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This Carport failed within the 1st 2 weeks of assembling it. We contacted the seller - they assured us the tent was a good product and they'd make it right. I said, Please just issue a refund and we'll return the tent. They said, we'll extend the warranty an additional 6 months - this is a good product with a good reputation. I agreed to try the tent with the new parts (roof and front and back panels) knowing it would likely fail again. The 2 windy days that caused the tent to fail were windy for sure- but not storms - by any means. After the 2nd failure last week - I contacted Quictent again w/ pics to show the tent failed this time COMPLETELY. Round 2 - they changed their story to - this tent is only a temporary structure and is not meant for windy locations. Their ad states - "More wind resistant" - "Heavy Duty Carport"- THIS IS Definitely NOT TRUE and They'll tell you this themselves when this Tent FAILS! Items that failed - Fabric (Roof/ Door Panels/ Side Panels Ripped) / many grommets pulled loose from Fabric / Metal frame components - Bent / Fittings - Bent / ground spikes Bent / Zippers on door panels - Ripped The only item that didn't fail was the small bungee cords!! This tent is LIGHT DUTY ONLY!! DONT BE MISLED!! IT WILL FAIL IF ITS OUTSIDE in WINDY WEATHER!! The wind here is in the 30 mph range - so - not excessive, but it'll blow trash cans over and small items like cardboard into the neighbors yard. AND it'll blow a tent like this - to shreds! PERFECT for a Wedding Event! NOT GOOD FOR A CARPORT!! ... show more

    • Quality Shelter. Excellent Customer Service
I researched this purchase extensively as it would be required to withstand Montana winds which are prolonged and considerable in the 50 to 80 mph peak range. The boxes arrived and the tent frame went up pretty fast. I guerilla taped all of the pipe to fitting connections just to provide added buffer for metal to fabric contact. The fabric is easy to install and is snug and secures via bungee cord and velcro. The shelter has exceeded my expectations. The bad: the pins supplied to secure the base are a bad joke. I had propper spikes on hand and they are far superior to what is supplied. The cordage is also inferior and I used ratchet traps connected to screw in the ground spikes in place of them. That was it for the bad. The great: the customer support for this product was awesome. When I got the roof top piece installed I observed a wear mark, small hole likely from shipping that had weakened a small area at the peak. Concerned I contacted customer support and they shipped me out a replacement and then checked back it me to insure it had arrived and that I was pleased with the replacement.     • Must be anchored with A LOT of weight or its dangerous
Only had it for 2 weeks and it did $4,700 worth of damage to my brand new '21 truck. There is so much sail surface to this that it needs to be anchored down to huge concrete weights or a foundation of some kind. Small sandbags will not suffice even in mild wind. It will produce many hundreds of pounds of force in a strong wind. It was damaging my truck so violently that the neighbors even came running to try to stop it. Then, I tried to find replacement parts for it. I needed 3 steel pipes. I thought it would be cheap and easy on a website. Nope. You need to call them and special order parts. They aren't ready available on Amazon, or even their website. I had to take it to the dump, after only 2 weeks. ... show more
