This product is very flexible in providing tie off points and can be used under the hood, tailgate, trunk, doors, or any other place that latches shut. These are so easy to use. Just like the pics show in the product description. Extremely sturdy. Used them several times with my kayak and held in place with zero issues. I purchased four 'just incase' one would break but I don't think that will be an issue.

I didn’t know about using these. I realized my van didn’t have any secure place to attach bow and stern lines. I thought these would be worth a try. The price was good and I questioned if they would be durable enough. My van has a short hood so worried they would slip out. They were perfect. First use carried recreational kayaks over 300 miles in the wind! These thing held tight. They didn’t slip at all. Very easy to use! Glad I gave them a chance.
