Description

Create your bright mosaic with pegs. Peg Brite is a lamp toy to light up a kid’s room in a creative way. It has a nice trendy design, featuring a flat screen and rounded edges. The original and innovative structure of the peg Brite screen lets children create images with pegs with unlimited creative freedom. The toy also comes with an album of 12 sample images. The light is generated by an electronic circuit, and uses latest generation LED lights, which are very bright and use very little power. The pegs are shaped like little lamps which are easy to insert into the perforations on the screen and feel good to the touch. They are made of a crystalline material that sparkle in the light even when peg Brite is turned off. Uses 3 AA batteries (not included).

My son just turned 2 and wanted to get him some more activities to work on his motor skills and attention span. He loves this! We have a local museum that has a large one and I have been wanting to get him one to play at home but didn’t want the small pieces. So this one is perfect! The pieces are big enough for him to pick up and put in and he loves all the colors of the pegs. The screws were a little tight and tough to take off but really shows the quality of the product. He played with it for 30 minutes which is unheard of! This is great for his motor skills, color recognition, attention span and coordination. I bought this as a toddler, price friendly version of the lite brite. Overall, the product is fine and my 3 year old is happy with it. As a parent, there are a few things I wish were different. It would be nice if the pegs clicked in place, but they only just insert and sit into the foam under layer. Lifting the board, some start to fall out. Additionally, a tilted stand would make sense. The board is only designed to stand straight up, so it will need to be laid flat on a surface for little one to play with. Because of this, the light shining through the pegs is not as visible from a side view, and only a direct straight on view. The box it was packaged in is high quality- probably more than the product itself. When lit up, light shines through the empty slots and also the frame of the board. It takes 3 AA batteries. The pegs are slightly larger than a lite brite, which is why I feel it’s more toddler friendly. It comes with a basket for storing the pegs, which is a plus. Overall, it works for us, but had I purchased this as a gift? I might be slightly disappointed in the quality of the board for the price. I took several pictures of this to use for the review, but there’s no option to include them. ... show more
