I don't think I would like a $2,000 mattress any more than this one. First, as others have noted. it is HEAVY. Unless you are pretty burly, two people will be needed to get it onto a bed. Any tiny bit of odor was gone in a day or two. I actually think the protector I used was responsible for most of the odor I noted. While everyone has a different opinion about firmness, I would rate this as medium firm or perhaps closer to medium than to firm. I would not rate this as a true pillow top, but that is fine with me as it should be a bit cooler in the summer. In any case, having a fluffy top on top of a rock has never made much sense to me. The best part of this mattress in my opinion is the firmness towards the edge. I inched over towards the edge while laying down, and I found that the edge was neither harder than the rest (which I often find and hate) nor did it create a tendency to have me slide off onto the floor. This makes the whole bed usable. I was afraid that the manufacturers hype would not actually be true, but here I think it is. Not sure how they did it, but it seems to work very well. I also tried sitting on the edge, which worked OK, but I didn't buy a mattress to sit on in any case. After only a week of use I can't comment on how it will hold up over time, but it certainly looks to be well made. I much prefer this design with springs as well as foam as it makes it much easier to move around. An all foam mattress does not spring back fast enough to help me roll over, making it more work to move about. My only possible negative comment is that the springs are pretty much at the bottom of the mattress such that I expect that this mattress would not work well if it were only supported by slats rather than a box spring or other flat surface. If I was using slats I would put a sheet of plywood under the mattress and on top of the slats. So, in conclusion, I will not write some over-the-top comments about this being the best mattress ever made, rather I conclude that it is apparently well made, very comfortable for me, and has just the right amount of support all the way to the edge. ... show more

I waited the recommended 72 hours for the bed to fully expand, and It is so comfy!! Firm and doesn’t sag like my old bed. I’d recommend this bed to everyone! Totally worth the price!! The bed was very heavy and I did notice a light smell, but nothing over powering. I got the king size 12inch. The picture is before it fully expanded.     • A Solid Product for its Price and Quality, You Really Can't Go Wrong

I bought this mattress about a year ago, when I decided it was time to downsize from my queen and was looking for a decent and tall full-sized mattress that was also cooling and "eco friendly". I researched for weeks before finally deciding on this one. After over a full year of sleeping almost every single night on this mattress, I'm happy to say that this has been one of the best "adult" purchases I have ever made. Despite my chronic health issues, I sleep so well in this bed, it's comfortable, it's manageable, and it's a BARGAIN for under $400. I even got the multiple month payoff with no interest option through Amazon directly so it made it even easier to afford. It was so easy to set up, I did it all myself aside from having my best friend help assemble the frame it was going to rest on. The only real issues I have with it (and one is personal, not technically indicative of anything wrong with the product), is that it tends to stay sunken after laying/resting on it for a few minutes longer than I'd expect from its firmness but it DOES bounce back to its usual shape either way, and I have to constantly push it back against my wall because it slides away from it on the bedframe and my pillows fall behind it (this is likely more of an issue with the bed frame I bought for it and not the bed, since it's a "rest on top" style and not a "slotted" fit. All in all, if you're struggling to find a mattress worth buying that isn't going to gouge your bank account, whether it's for a guest room or your own personal bed, I highly recommend this brand and product. It's hard to trust reviews sometimes these days, but I promise this is coming completely from the heart. I have yet to regret this purchase and I hope I never will! ... show more

I got this mattress for my mom, she came to visit me and gonna stay with me for 3 months. First of all, I got king size, and it is really big. It too like a full day for it to actually "grow" into this big after it got released from the plastic bag. So you have to be be a little patient with it. But once it got to the correct size, it is really comfortable to sleep on. My mom had some issues with her back and waist, so she is quite picky on the mattress. But this one worked perfectly fine for her. I slept on it several times too, and it is really comfortable for me as well. It got enough support to the back and waist, and when I turned to the side it also did not have any weird feeling on my neck and shoulder. Also I found it very easy to move too. Originally it was in my bedroom too, but my I wanted some privacy so my mom and I moved it to the living room next to my sofa. Don't get me wrong, it is a solid and heavy mattress, but they designed those handles on the side so it's handy to move around, even for my mom who is already 55 years old. If you think about the quality, the price is not bad too, because there are way overpriced mattress out there but does not do it's job. So overall, yes, I recommend this mattress. ... show more
