Easy set up on a platform frame. Received the mattress this morning and it appears to be fully expanded within a very short time. It is a very nice looking mattress and has little to no smell. I did have windows open in the bedroom to dispel any residual smell, but honestly there was none. Waiting full 48 hours before testing it out. It is for a guest room. At this point it is super firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. I think it could use a soft topper. 48 hour UPDATE: Still super firm, did not become softer. Bought a Serta 3” topper. While it adds some cush, you can still feel the firm support of the mattress. I have slept on it 3 nights (2 with topper). It is better with the topper, but still too firm for me. This is not the first bed in a box we have purchased. We have a Lull mattress which is fantastic. This is for a guest room so didn’t want to spend as much. UPDATE: Customer service seems to be on top of things. I am very impressed. They reached out to me to work with me to resolve to my satisfaction. Emma was my customer service rep who kept me informed through resolution. I would say this is a company that stands behind their product and wants their customers to be satisfied. If you are looking for a very firm mattress don’t hesitate to try this one! I am updating my stars to reflect the positive experience and am taking one star off for the high level of firmness that should be listed in the description. Nothing is perfect but I am really happy with this mattress. I was worried about getting a mattress in a box but I sleep much better since we got it. I wake up with a lot less pain than I use to. I am 81 and full of arthritis. It was a bit of a struggle to set it up but only because of my age. My 84 year old husband with a bad back did help me set it up but I could have done it by myself. We set it up in the afternoon and slept on it that night. It hadn't fully inflated but it was fine. Couple days later after it fully filled out it became a bit firmer. I think it is a great mattress for the money. We got the 8" so maybe that is why it was easy to set it up. The thicker ones might be a bit harder. ... show more

Mattress expanded fully within 24 hours, and I was genuinely shocked. As someone who typically can never get comfortable in bed, this mattress all but fixed that. I was warned against mattresses like these because they apparently retain a bit of heat, but I don't notice that issue at all. I've only slept on it for a few nights now, so time will tell if this mattress holds up... but this feels like a winner. ... show more

This is by far the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. There’s no memory foam, if there is, it’s a non existent layer that provides no “contouring” whatsoever. The mattress is nice looking. It is heavy, which is obviously to be expected for memory foam, but as a back sleeper, and as a larger person, I very much have been enjoying the mattress so far. I anticipate it will hold up well over time.
