The fact is you can only be sure about your mattress choice when you've slept on it. But the details here should help you decide. It came well packaged with information on how to unpack. This luxury mattress offered superior lumbar support with enhanced contouring. It's a premium pillow top with a cool breathable fabric which means no more waking up at 3am with hot sweats. I suffer from sacroilliac pain and this mattress has taken my morning wake up pain from an 8 down to a 2. It also helps with falling asleep faster. I literally feel like I'm in an envelope of clouds. Only negative is the chemical smell that hit us when unrolling. It was gone after we let it sit fir 24 hours. Highly recommend this bed for the best sleep ever. This 12 inch thick mattress fits standard size sheets and provides plenty of support. The memory gel isn't too thick that you sink too far into the bed. I would describe this bed as a medium to firm luxury bed. Just keep in mind the 6 layers are selected to provide support and comfort from the bottom to the top. Therefore, this mattress is NOT flipable, You can rotate it, but not flip it. However, the 12 inches provides plenty of support and comfort. The fabric does help keep the sheets cool. I am always looking for a mattress that is both firm and soft....yes, there is such a thing and this one is it. With the many layers of support it is a medium firm and with the top layers it is very cozy and soft too. This is exactly what I was looking for for a great night's sleep.
