I was very skeptical about buying a mattress in a box after reading soooo many mixed reviews and many saying that the mattress didn't inflate all the way or very poor support. I am very impressed with the quality and the comfort of this hybrid queen mattress in a box. We have spent thousands of dollars on expensive mattresses only to hate them months later and can't return them. This mattress is comfortable and sturdy. I got a daybed for the guest room, so then my teen wanted a new bed too. He wanted a daybed and I'd been on the hunt for a mattress. I paid 90 bucks for a basic, 8-inch foam mattress from a big box store and then more for a three-inch topper for the new daybed mattress in the guest room. I wanted something more substantial for my son, since I generally like him more than my guests. This is HEAVY and comes vacuum packed. It plumps up fast out of the packaging. It has layers. There's no single, super soft foam here, where you're feeling the bedrail slats two months after you lay on it regularly. No, this bad boy has springs on the bottom layer, so there is support. then there are several soft, but supportive layers. It is not super plushy soft. Instead, it conforms to body weight, so it is soft where a person needs it and firmer where there isn't as much push into the top layer of the mattress. I have tried 'body conforming' mattresses before to find a comfortable one. This is the only one that I've found that conforms to me specifically, then to my son, who weighs about 150 to my 110, and then to my dog who really does not like getting off this mattress, who is 45 pounds. It has hit that perfect formula to personalize itself to the person sleeping on it. And all for less than 250 dollars, versus the 90 bucks and then 40 bucks I paid for my other plain mattress and topper for the guest room. Which is fine, because I don't want guests comfortable enough to stay long anyway, but I wanted to illustrate that this mattress is pretty dirt cheap for being so darn awesome! Also, we were hit hard by Hurricane Helene. No power as I write this. We have hotspot on our phones and a little solar battery pack. Since our generator is so tiny, we can only really power the fridge and a window a/c unit, so my son and I are camping out in the primary bedroom. He has this mattress on the floor, and he has slept like a baby every single night. This kid usually wakes up constantly throughout the night, halfway sleepwalks, needs a drink or snack, goes to the bathroom, etc. He is sleeping really, really well on this, waking up feeling relaxed, and that's while we are in this stressful situation. He loves it. I love it. I keep trying to get him to trade beds with me, but he won't, so I guess I have to buy my own. Which I plan to. I do recommend this mattress for anyone who wants to sleep well and likes softness, but also likes feeling supported. This mattress is excellent quality and every person, and dog, in our household is ecstatic with it. I will not be buying one for the guest room, because then my guests would never leave. It's a great value and my kiddo's finally sleeping through the night after 17 years. I'm really excited to get my own in once mail is running again. ... show more

    • A Better Night's Sleep For One That Needs It

My Ramblings As if my child already didn't sleep all the time, now I've given them a comfortable mattress to hibernate in. Well, let's take a closer look at this coma inducing mattress. To the Point or TL;DR Twin mattress a full 10 inches thick, Super comfy, fits space perfectly, needed to get some deeper covers, but expected that, Came super compressed and the kids had fun watching it expand. No unusual smells. Overall, kid loves it and we love the great value! The Good Stuff All kidding aside, my kid loves the new mattress and so do I. We replaced a much thinner and old mattress that we had for too long. It is very comfortable and my kid is getting a much better night's sleep, which is so important. There is plenty of time for them to become caffeine fulled insomniacs later. We bought deeper covers to complete the deal and are overall happy. The Bad Stuff We haven't found any. Works & fits as described. Who May Use/Like It Those wanting a better night's sleep or just an upgrade from an older one.
