bought this item for "ease of assembly" however it would appear that hellen keller is alive and well running quality control. The frame itself was not the correct size and had very noticable bowing on each sides. The frame couldnt even be assembled and even after manhandling pieces together, the slats were still too short to use by at least 2" on each side. The directions were clear and easy to follow, unfortuanetly it would appear that when they make the actual pieces, the workers must be blindfolded or not follow any standard whatsoever ... show more

Very sturdy! Holds up to my 8 year old constantly jumping on the bed. Just make sure to get the screws as tight as possible. A couple of screws eventually fell out over some time. I think they were just not tight enough.

We have a Cal King bed frame that used to contain a waterbed. We replaced the waterbed with a mattress, but that made making the bed difficult because of having to stuff the sheets and covers between the mattress and the frame. This item elevates the mattress perfectly.
