Features

  • Multi-analyte constituents provide fast chromatic analytical data for UV/UVC testing.
  • Photochromic dosimeter strip uses an analyte sensitive to wide-band UV between 200-400nm UVA/UVB/UVC
  • UV dosimeter color strip concentration is directly proportional to UV intensity (higher intensity equals darker color)
  • UV dosimeter color concentrations are also directly proportional to UVA UVB and UVC wavelength (shorter wavelengths equals lighter color) at max value.
  • UVC photo-luminescence detection technology displays temporary fluorescence between 250-270 nm when directly exposed to optimal germicidal UVC light waves.

  • Works! And reusable too.
This thing really works! I used it to verify a UVB flashlight was blocked by UVB-resistant eyeglasses. I didn't test the UVC function. Strongly recommended when dealing with harmful UV light.

  • Performed flawlessly for a UV test screening
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased a pair of Joopin sunglasses and wanted to test the UV400 rating on these sunglasses. I decided to test them using a UV light and this test card. The test went as hoped, and the sunglasses blocked all UV radiation from hitting the UV sensitive portion covered by the glasses, while the exposed portion turned purple to highlight the presence of UV radiation. Great little card and convenient anytime you’re in need to test someone’s claims about UV. ... show more

  • Works perfectly and will give you peace of mind that your lamp is working properly.
As stated in the title, this card works perfectly. I first tested the UV sensor under direct sunlight and it showed a very strong ultraviolet reading. I then exposed it to my UV-C lamp while protecting myself from exposure using gloves and a hood over the lamp. While the card is exposed to the lamp, I get a very strong green UV-C reading, and after a few seconds, the ultraviolet sensor began to indicate the strength. Once you remove the lamp, the UV-C sensor immediately turns off but the ultraviolet sensor continues to fade slowly. Again! The UV-C Sensor only glows during the exposure! If you have one or more UV-C lamps, this card will reassure you that they are working properly. Two previous lamps that I purchased did not have any UV-C or even an ultraviolet component at all and this card immediately exposed them as phony. They were simple LED Corn lamps that put out blue light. ... show more

  • Works great. Tested on sunglasses. Auto Glass. Tinted car windows.
Love this testing card. I tested a UV flashlight purchased on amazon. It showed the max amount of UV within a few seconds. Much faster than the sun. Makes me think twice about shining this UV flashlight in someone's eyes. Tested this on sunglasses, on an expensive pair, it blocked 100% of uv. On cheap sunglasses that say "100% uvab blockage", it didn't. If you purchase sunglasses often, keep this card with you so that you can test the sunglasses 30 seconds after purchase. Tested this on auto glass that was not tinted and according to this card tested better than the house windows. I used this to test Milgard windows with the suncoatmax low e-3 glass. The low e2 says it reduces UV "up to 84%." The E3 says that provides "additional protection from uv-a and uv B". According to the test card, my windows look like they only block 20% of UV. So "up to" 84% means 0-84%. ... show more

  • This thing works
There seem to be lots of items coming out of China that claim to have UV protection (window film, sunglasses, etc.) but don't have any. I was able to use this and find out that some window film I bought for a closet window did not in fact have any UV protection. I was also able to confirm that the sunglasses being used by my family are actually protecting our eyes. You don't want sunglasses to dilate your pupils and allow UV to flood in. Buying this was cheap insurance to protect us from damage to our eyes. I would definitely buy it again if I lost it. ... show more

  • Works as stated
I bought this product to test the UV blocking ability of our window film and determine the exposure to our furniture and artwork. While not providing specific exposure, it was easy to see that the filtered light had a “Low” level of UV versus the “High” level of UV of the same light outside the house. ... show more
