Bullet item #2 in the Amazon product description states "It is [...] machine washable" and bullet item #5 adds a little wiggle room, "Machine Washable with like color. Recommend Hand Wash for prolonged life", then, a couple of screens down the Amazon page, there is a message, "IMPORTANT WASH INSTRUCTIONS: * MACHINE WASH IN COLD WATER ALONE OR WITH LIKE COLORS * AIR DRY FLAT OR TUMBLE DRY LOW * DO NOT BLEACH OR USE FABRIC SOFTENER * DO NOT IRON" However, the fabric care tag, pictured here, only states "- Hand wash - Do not bleach - Do not tumble dry - Do not iron." I washed this towel in a washing machine with medium rather than cold water, and it apparently bled blue into what was a blue and white shirt, which I had previously been washing with my blues for the past year. There were no other new items sharing that wash. Another negative review here indicates that the product continues to leach blue in subsequent washes. I also tumble dried the towel on "medium" heat, which usually gets my blue jeans dry, but occasionally does not. After washing, I measured the towel at 35 inches x 67 inches, which is close to the stated 35 inches x 70 inches. Also, the towel is very thin, thicker than a table cloth though, and feels like felt or the cloth used for cleaning eye glasses (and it is thicker than those fabrics too, but nowhere near as thick as a cotton towel). If the product description had explicitly stated the contents of the fabric care label, I would have little or no complaint, although I probably would have bought a different towel. With all that negative commentary said, on the positive side, I think that if you only wash this with solid blues (hopefully a limitation that will last for only a few washes) and just want to use this as a barrier to the sand on the beach, it does fold down to a very compact size. ... show more

Very lightweight. I love that that it folds up so small into a little bag to carry around. It has an elastic on one side that you can wrap around the towel to keep secure, or use it to hang the towel! Not very thick at all. It absorbs water VERY quickly. But also seems as though it dries quickly.

I am amazed. I read an article about microfiber towels being so great for camping and just had to try it. I’m a believer. I bought a beach towel size and it rolls up so small. I dried off so much faster than with my normal fluffy towel. After drying off I went and got dressed, came back to dry my hair and it was already half dry. I felt the towel and it already felt dry. This is amazing!! I can’t wait to get more towels and a smaller family beach bag!!! ... show more
