Finally, a tablecloth that fits my rectangular/oblong dining table that seats 6-8 people. Most tablecloths that are supposed to fit the size of my table measure a standard 60X84 inches. However, I wasn't happy with the lopsided look of the 60x84 inches. The length overhanging the ends of the table were too short to suit while the width draped too far over the sides. This tablecloth measures 54X86 inches which is perfect... a bit longer length and a bit narrower width, making the look more symmetrical. I couldn't be happier with the fit. The farmhouse simplicity of this tablecloth is casually chic and I have received many compliments. Durable fabric, substantial thickness, soft, subtle color and classic striping. Water and stain resistant (liquid beads up) Washes well. I did have to iron it when I initially took it out of the package to remove creases from being folded. This tablecloth is easy to wipe up drops of food or spilled messes. It doesn't wrinkle and falls well off the table. I have not washed it yet, so I am not sure how it will be after the first wash.
