This speaker is surprisingly good. I was fully expecting to buy this speaker and have a play music. But sounds very muffled and very poor quality. When I received it. Which I received it earlier than Expected I got it home, fully charged it and used it for the first time it worked pretty well. There are a few downsides like one I really wish it would say Bluetooth connecting or Bluetooth connected voice prompt and said. I'll just like a weird shuffling sound that makes when it's connected. Doesn't mean it's broken. I bought the speaker intending to use it to listen to music as I cycled to work. And it's really nice to Listen to Music the bass is pretty good but yeah overall. I do recommend this speaker especially if you want something that's not overly expensive. That just can get the job done and has decent sound quality. Thought the Ion battery in my 7 year old desktop blue-tooth speaker was dying. It wasn't. Besides, the replacement battery was the same price as this brand new QFX BT-ZX1 blue-tooth speaker. The QFX BT-ZX1 cost me $9.80 +tax. Such a deal. Now I have two blue-tooth speakers, one for each laptop. The QFX BT-ZX1 is a quality portable small desktop speaker, with solid sound. This review is for a BT-ZX1. It’s okay. The sound quality is adequate if a little flat, it gets quite loud, it charges by type C, and it feels vaguely premium. I can’t find any fault with it. It does have a habit of disconnecting and turning off if the source pauses for long enough, about 5 minutes or so. I don’t find that to be an issue, since it starts fairly quickly. Some of the audio cues from the system are unusual at first, power on makes sense but connection/disconnection makes a weird shushing-kind of sound and caught me off guard at first.     • Great bathroom speaker!
I was just looking for a a cheap speaker to put in the bathroom, and was surprised at the build quality of this speaker especially at this price point. I haven't tested out the waterproofing but it includes covers for the charging port and the aux so it should be fine as long as you're not submerging it in water too long/deep. Battery life and Bluetooth range is great. I'm able to hook it up to my phone to the third story with my speaker still connecting. I didn't even realize it had hands-free calling until I tried to figure out what the little phone icon was for. Coming from the audiophile community, this isn't going to win any awards over there. However for how compact and light this speaker is, this thing packs a punch with a standard V-shaped sound signature. Plenty of bass for the bassheads out there, highs sound crisp, mids aren't too forward, but vocals have a little bit of sibilance depending on the source. I needed to replace my oontz after 5 years and opted for a so called deal, this does not get loud and distorts bad, does not stay charged for long at all, maybe an hour and cuts out. for 10 bucks its ok but not worth the money. i just needed something for the shower and should have got the oontz 3 again. ... show more
