  • Good Vibes. Perfect Blend of Modern Tech & Yesteryear Nostalgia
Color: Red
This is A-Grade nostalgia with modern tech. I suppose in a way it’s a resto-mod. To be sure it’s a mashup of 1968 muscle cars with, to my eye, it borrows mostly from the Dodge Charger/Plymouth Roadrunner and the Chevy Camaro with a hat tip to Mustang taillights. The only thing that could make this radio more fun would be if it was an actual car model. While I’m thrilled with this radio, I ordered it out of a different nostalgia. When I was a kid my grandmother gave me an AM radio in the form a 1966 Ford Thunderbird. As a 10 year old it was super cool, but I still cherish even if it’s practically obsolete. But for that I would not have been interested in this one, as a fantasy car, and boy would that have been a mistake because I love this car-shaped radio. The build quality of this radio is tops for being plastic. I wish it was die-cast metal, but that doesn't detract from its enjoyment. The small detailing touches are great and I love how the USB charging ports are in the tail where the gas tank of many 1960s models was placed. For convenience and future-proofing both USB-A and USB-C ports are present. All the function controls are nicely laid out on the trunk lid, both with good spacing and a pleasant feel when engaging. The rear window is blacked out, which looks cool, but it’s also functional because it hosts the radio’s alpha-numeric display. It tells you what the radio is doing so you don’t have to guess with morse code-like lights. This is a feature I really appreciate. Another laugh-out-loud detail is the color-changing lightshow the headlights and supercharger add. Nothing says retro-mod like multi-colored LEDs. Sound quality is surprisingly good for being a novelty radio. It sounds better than 1960s AM radio. Seriously, it’s quite listenable for background music or even listening to a ball game or taking a call when using it as a speaker phone. It fills a small space like home office or bedroom. Don’t expect much though if you put it in a larger area like living room. Bluetooth pairing is just like pairing any other BT device. It works. Because of the nature of this device my phone is always nearby, so range is less important. I haven’t noticed any connection or audio break up issues. You can also connect a non-BT audio device that has headphone jack. A cable for this is included. Additionally, it has a micro-SD slot to play music that way. I don’t have a micro-SD card to test that feature though so I can’t comment on how well playing music this way works. That brings me to who is this for? Obviously classic muscle car fans unless maybe they are not MOPAR fans. I can see anyone over 55 with a sense of car nostalgia and humor and no fear of tech appreciating it, but also kids, thanks to the party lights, might get a kick out of it. It’s not for anyone that thinks Airpods sound horrible or takes life too seriously. ... show more

  • This is a great item and would make a great gift
Color: Red
I ordered this because my brother-in-law is a big 1960's car buff. I didn't recognize the car this is from, but I am sure he will be able to point out all the details that belong to which vehicles and the year. The detailing on this speaker is great in that way, the rear lights light up when you plug the USB into the back like in the older cars. Then you can have the headlights go on and the blower in the hood also lights up when it is being used. Evidently you can use it as a radio, but I tested it as a speaker, and it is actually much better than several blueetooth speakers that I have. I would say this is good enough sound for most people, as background music, and can certainly get much louder to cover a home deck or pool area for sure. I'm hoping brother-in-law will use it in his garage for when he is fixing up his current project, a 1971 El Camino. ... show more

  • Nice change
Color: Red
I have a lot of bluetooth speakers. I have every size and every quality level from cheapos to expensive high quality sound and construction. This is somewhere in the middle and serves a purpose. That purpose is to look cool and it does that well. Who knew you could make plastic that shiny? The car looks great and you can put this in your game room, office or garage and it looks like a good quality model car. The sound is better than you will expect with some bass and clear high and mid tones so you will enjoy playing your favorite tunes wherever you put it. The FM radio is a bit annoying since you can't just tune in a station you have to auto seek and it stores everything it finds but it does work. Overall a very cool addition to any room that hides a very good bluetooth speaker. Recommend. ... show more

  • So cool!

My father collects model cars, and this was perfect to give to him. Looks great and actually has halfway decent sound for what it is. Very novelty, but awesome!

  • Love this product... looks great and works great!
Color: Red
I really love this speaker's looks and design! The look of a 1968 muscle mixture is a real classic. In total it has three speakers, two regular and one bass radiator driven by the other two speakers. All of the controls are on the rear of the car, and it even has an FM radio to use when not connected to Bluetooth if desired. It has other connections for different sources such as a TF card, USB hardware, or AUX cable. The sound is very nice for the small speaker system and if you have two of these they can be connect and synced for stereo sound. if you are into older muscle cars and having a real conversation piece, I highly recommend this product. I think this product is top notch and I am very pleased with it. ... show more

  • Awesome!
Color: Red
Hot rod with great sound. Muscle car or hot rod, it looks like both to me. The only thing I’m worried about is when the battery is going to run out of charge. It does provide a decent amount of listening time. You can cut it down shorter if you have it at full volume consistently. The BT is east to pair and the light effects are neat. The price value is fair and affordable for this unique sound machine on wheels. ... show more

  • Awesome and unique
Color: Red
This speaker is an incredibly neat idea and it is very unique. The 2 speakers really put out quality sound and are relatively loud for the size of the speaker. The car resembles an old charger which is awesome and it rolls around as well. The headlights and supercharger on the hood light up and change colors which is another cool touch. ... show more

  • Wow! Exceeded my expectations!
Color: Red
This car looks really cool. Though it isn't any specific car, the designer has definitely captured that 1968 muscle car feel. It's fun just to look at. All the features are amazing. It easily paired via bluetooth and the sound, while not audiophile quality, is quite loud, and with 2 speakers, it sounds fuller than similarly priced speakers. There's also a line in (mini headphone) if you want to connect directly, as well as a TF (mini SD) card slot for MP3s and a USB-A port where you could stick in a thumb drive with songs on it. And, wait, there's an FM radio, too! While playing, the headlights also come on and change colors. I know it all sounds silly, but it just looks so good--not cheap--that it makes you happy to have it. This is a keeper. ... show more
