  • This is actually a very nice, all-in-one nano tank!
Color: Fresh Water Black
This is a nice tank! It is small, elegant, and simple. It is also virtually silent and the glass is nice and clear. The silicone is black and has nice seams. The bottom of the tank has rubber feet and has a nice presentation overall. I am using it for a shrimp tank to breed a specific color. However I can see I may need to make a few adjustments or I will end up with losses. This is due to the design of the intake screen, it is a bit too large and I could see some tiny babies ending up in the filter side of the tank. The only way to truly prevent this would be to remove the filter assembly and run a small sponge filter. However, I am going to use the tank as shown in my pictures and possibly put a smaller mesh filter screen in front of the intake screens. If you wanted to remove the filter section, it simply pulls out and you are left with a glass nano cube. Lastly, there is a tiny space, maybe 1mm to .5mm at the bottom of the tank underneath the filter side of the tank. I am sure baby shrimp and debris will collect under there and the only way to clean it out is to remove the filter. Not a big deal, but would be better to not have a gap there. With the filter section in, there is actually a lot of room for media. So much, I would say the filter section could be half as wide and it still would be plenty for this sized tank. But with it in place, you have several sponger filters and it comes with two small bags of ceramics for additional biomedia. I was able to fit all of the filter media, an extra clump of filter floss from another one of my tanks, and still fit a nano heater in to the filter side of the tank. If you do it this way, it has a nice appearance and no cables except where the exit out of the top cover plate. Also, there is no lid, so I will make one out of clear plastic to prevent any shrimp escapees. One thing I will say, before you setup the tank you should do a leak test. Make sure the surface you place the tank on will be level, and fill it up to check for leaks...especially in the corners. My tank is leak free and working great, but better to check first before you get to far along. My favorite part about this nano tank is how quiet it is. I mean, it is SILENT. You can easily put it into your bedroom right on your nightstand and you won't hear it. I will also say the LED light is very bright for this size tank. You can grow many different types of plants with this light setup. One other complaint, the power for the light and the filter is through a USB connection, and it includes a power block with dual USB outputs. On the surface, this seems fine...BUT if you want to set up your light on a timer, you will need to provide your own power block, otherwise you would be shutting off the filter and the light at the same time, which would not be optimal by any means. Overall, this is a classy looking and feature rich nano setup that is sure to please, from the beginner to an advanced aquarist. Even with the few shortcomings it has, this easily gets 5 stars from me. Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Nice micro AIO
Color: Saltwater Black
great little AIO 2gallon. I’m using it as a micro reef tank. I replaced the included light with one more suitable for corals. I have a few inverts but I’d be extremely selective if I was adding fish

  • Not bad, but no heater and no top
Color: Fresh Water Black
I'm using this as an isolation/med tank. Which for new aquarists means I put brand new fish in it (2 weeks), to make sure they aren't sick, before adding to my large tank. I can also use it to isolate and treat a sick fish if needed. Very quick setup, looks nice, seems like a quality made glass tank and I like the built-in, slide out all in 1 filter/aeration system. I would say that it only has 2 negatives. First, if your fish require warmer than room temp. water, you will need to buy a small heater. Also, it does not have a top, so if you have fish that like to jump out of water, build or buy a top for it. 2 Thumbs up for appearance and functionality ... show more

  • Saltwater Serenity
Color: Saltwater White
The QANVEE 2 Gallon Small Aquarium Starter Kit has been a fantastic find for my foray into saltwater aquariums. Its compact size makes it ideal for small spaces, yet it's sufficiently equipped to create a healthy and visually appealing environment for saltwater fish. The low iron, ultra-clear glass is a standout feature, offering unobstructed views of the vibrant underwater life. This kit comes with a filter and light, both of which perform admirably in maintaining the delicate balance required for a saltwater setup. The filter works efficiently to keep the water pristine, which is essential for the well-being of saltwater species. The lighting enhances the natural colors of the fish and the overall aesthetic of the tank. Although its 2-gallon capacity limits the number and size of fish you can keep, it's an excellent choice for those starting with saltwater aquariums or looking for a small, manageable tank. Its ease of setup and maintenance makes it suitable even for beginners. In summary, the QANVEE Betta Clown Fish Tank is a great entry point into the world of saltwater aquariums. It's a small yet complete package that provides a serene slice of ocean life right in your own space. ... show more

  • Low iron glass and built in filter.
Color: Fresh Water Black
Good starter tank, but you need gravel and decorations. It's low iron glass so its crystal clear and will last forever. You don' t have to worry about it getting scratched up like a plastic tank does. The filter is built in and has a good amount of sponges for mechanical filtration with some ceramic media for the biological part. Downside is the filter cuts into the 2 gallon tank size being advertised. Also there's no top included so if you're getting a betta be prepared incase they jump out. ... show more

  • It looked very nice but the glass is broken
Color: Fresh Water Black
I had a lot of nice things to say about this tank, and I was very excited to set it up, but when I removed it from the base for the first time I saw that the glass is broken. The box was not damaged, the tank was completely surrounded in styrofoam which was in good condition as well, and the base was not dented or chipped. I believe this had to have been shipped this way. As you can see there is maybe 1 mm of silicone above the break, it's is a very weak spot and is sure to fail either from pressure on the glass, or as the silicone ages and starts to peel at the edges. I cannot trust this tank to hold water for very long so, sadly, I have to scrap it, but I can probably adapt the filter and light to a new tank. I just had to deduct a few stars for poor quality control. :( ... show more
