Get yourself a cheap set of carb jets and familiarize yourself with tuning idle mixture, the vacuum needle, and your main jet. Youtube can teach you all of that. I ended up ditching the cone filter and building a DIY airbox, because my moped was just so dang loud. 9/10ths of the noise a GY6 makes is from the intake, rather than the exhaust, strangely. The cone filter in this kit does absolutely nothing to mitigate the intake noise, but serves as a fine air filter. So if you are planning to ditch your stock airbox in favor of the cone, be prepared for your scooter (or whatever) to be louder. ... show more

Installed on a Tao Tao 50cc scooter, I tried everything I know to make it work. I cleaned the original carburetor, adjusted the valves, it runs fine now.I did use the new intake manifold and some of the other parts, so not a complete loss.
