I like to make a breakfast casserole and needed a deep dish that I could put in the oven, that was durable. This fit the bill. This dish is heavy duty, it is thick glass. I've never had a small 8 x 8 square baking dish so I ordered this one from Pyrex which of course has been a dependable company for years. I also loved it had a snap on left over lid cover. I made a casserole dish and it came out perfectly. The only negative is the glass isn't as thick as it used to be like all my other pyrex glass dishes but I guess that is todays way of doing business. I've had my other ones for years.
