• My older cat loves it
Flavor Name: Chicken & Beef Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
My older cat is 19+ years old and has been having trouble keeping food day for a about 1 year. I have been trying different food for her and this food has been the best for my 2 cats. They love it and my 19 year old keeps the food down and seems like she loves this food. I'm so relieved she can enjoy her food at this stage of her life. ... show more

 • Good for cats with sensitive digestion and old age weight loss issues
Flavor Name: Chicken & Beef Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
We have tried almost every food on the market and this is one of the only foods that Kitty can tolerate. We first started out with prescription food and 600+ dollars later Artie Kitty stopped eating altogether. She however loves Pro-Plan 11+. Excellent food for senior cats with dietary issues. Especially a good food for wasting or overweight senior cats. Artie however will not eat the fish version of Pro-Plan +11 cat food. It's best to get samples of the food first before buying a large case. ... show more

 • A winner
Flavor Name: Chicken & Beef Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
My very senior cat is still healthy and happy, and I'm trying to buy her a higher quality of food to keep her that way. But, she has gotten very picky in her old age. I am amazed at how she devours this brand in this chicken and beef flavor. She licks the plate clean like I haven't seen in a long time. This is pretty expensive, but I think she's worth it! ... show more

 • Nice portions
Flavor Name: Salmon & Tuna Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
My vet recommended that I start feeding my elderly cat wet food. She's twelve years old. I can't tell you how many different brands I bought and then had to either throw away or give to a shelter because she would not eat it. I actually tried every brand that was available in the stores near me. Now I have to turn to Amazon to shop for other brands. This was the first one she ate without hesitation. I still leave dry food in her bowl during the day, but she gets half a can of the Purina Pro Plan Senior Canned Wet Cat Food for breakfast. She is ready for her "breakfast" in the morning. She eats half of it right away then goes back in a few hours to finish the tiny bowl. The only downside is it is a little pricy. But right now, I have no choice since it's the only wet food she will eat. I don't mind as it's all for the health (and love) of my animal. ... show more

 • Cat loves it, but contacted purina & phosphorus dry matter very high for cat early kidney disease
Flavor Name: Salmon & Tuna Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
Updated 5/2021: for cats with kidney disease it’s best to feed food that is lower in phosphorus - ideally a prescription food since those have a lower phosphorus. This will help slow the progression of kidney disease so that your cat will live longer. Unfortunately my cat doesn’t like either the Hills or Royal Canin prescription foods - I’ve tried both dry food and canned. So I contacted purina to find out what the phosphorus dry matter basis is for this food. I knew of course that it would not be as low in phosphorus as a prescription food for kidney disease but had thought since labeled for cats age 11+ that it would be on the lower side of phosphorus. However it is actually quite a bit higher phosphorus than some others I’ve found. Here’s the info from purina company - dry matter basis. Pro Plan Can Cat Salmon & Tuna Senior 11+ = Phosphorus 1.77% DM Pro Plan Can Cat Chicken & Beef Senior 11+ = Phosphorus 1.79% DM For comparison Hills prescription canned k/d chicken and vegetable is 0.49 % dry matter. A non prescription food can’t be that low but I have found several that are about 0.72% to 0.80%. This Purina pro plan is significantly higher than a lot of foods I’ve located so I am no longer giving it to my cat. Original review: My cat is probably only 8 years old, but sadly he has stage 2 chronic kidney disease. His vet and internal specialist strongly recommended prescription kidney food but my cat just won’t eat enough of that and walks away (his sense of taste is probably reduced by a medication he takes for unrelated issue). So my vet suggested next best to prescription canned food would be Hills ages 11+ canned food and said NOT the ages 7+ varieties. . That has been out of stock everywhere this year - my cat liked it for a month and then got less interested. It only is made in 1 flavor so no variety to help interest him Then I found this. It’s formulated for truly senior cats - and it comes in 2 flavors - and my cat likes both flavors. ... show more

 • Price increase
Flavor Name: Salmon & Tuna Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
My senior cat has kidney disease and won’t eat the food my vet wants him to eat but he loves this food. I’ve bought it several times but sadly since Amazon decided to raise the price so much I won’t be able to afford anymore.
