I've had plenty of cats and kittens on Purina Pro Plan Liveclear dry food. I've noticed that the adults and kittens love the kitten food more than the adult but it's also higher in calories and fats so adult cats really shouldn't be eating kitten food for an extended length of time unless your adult female is pregnant and/or nursing or if your veterinarian advises you to do so. Purina has many different dry food options including many different Purina Pro Plan sub-types and many of them are not of the same quality as others. Purina Pro Plan LiveClear is their highest grade dry good available with a veterinarian's prescription. It IS also the most expensive but because it's the only dry food I've ever found that ALL of my cats like, I'm willing to pay a little extra so that I don't have to get numerous different types of food for different cats. The LiveClear's claim to lower your cat's allergens is fairly new. I started seeing it within the last few years or so. Before that, they had the same food but it didn't have that claim. I've been using this food for 8 years and haven't ever had a cat that didn't like it. As far as the lower allergen claim goes, I don't notice a difference. It's hard to tell since my boyfriend has a pollen and grass allergy as well as a cat allergy so I don't know if we'd notice if there was a difference in the amount of allergens released in their saliva and dander. This Particular line of Purina's comes in a variety of flavor options. For the most part I get them the Chicken and Rice but I've also tried the Salmon and they seemed to be just as happy. I DID notice a difference in the size of the round pieces of dry food when comparing the chicken and salmon. The Chicken and Rice Adult dry food has round thicker pieces and the salmon flavor is round and almost flat. The size and weight of the bags are the same but the individual pieces are slightly different. I suppose it's possible that Purina is in the process of changing the size of all of the LiveClear food pieces and one of the bags I got was with their new size and the other bag was with their previous size. Both bags were fresh. If your cat has health problems that cause him/her to need dry food that s geared towards Kidney problems, urinary tract, sensitive stomach, etc. Purina Pro Plan also makes dry food for such health issues and they also have prescription food for specific health issues which you can ask your Veterinarian about. ... show more

Life-Changing Cat Food – A Must-Buy for Cat Lovers with Allergic Family Members! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10 Stars! I cannot express how grateful I am for this incredible cat food. We were at a crossroads in our home, as my wife has always loved our cats but was severely allergic to them. Every time she tried to pet them, she'd have to immediately wash her hands, and if they slept in our bed, she would be up all night with sneezing fits. It was heartbreaking to see her struggle with this, and we were genuinely concerned about having to make a tough decision about our beloved pets. Then we discovered this cat food, and it has truly been a game-changer. Since switching our cats to this food, the difference has been nothing short of miraculous. My wife can now hold and cuddle the cats without any allergic reactions. The best part? Our cats can sleep in our bed without causing her any issues! It feels like a whole new world has opened up for us. I should mention that it might take a few weeks for the full effects to kick in, and giving your cats a bath might help speed up the process. I hesitate to call the promised results of any product "miraculous," but that's exactly what I (and my cat, Puck) found this food to be. I suffered for years from my tuxedo cat's (Puck) dander. I would cough and hack sometimes when she'd come near. It got really bad. There was no way I'd give up the cat, though. When I saw this product advertised, I decided to give it a shot and within a week or so, the cat's dander was gone (or, at the very least, it had diminished to unnoticeable). With the cat's black fur, the dander was very noticeable before so I knew the food had worked. Also, my coughing and hacking had stopped almost completely. [Full disclosure: I ordered both a bag of Purina Pro Plan Allergen Reducing, Indoor Cat Food, LIVECLEAR and the Purina Pro Plan LIVECLEAR Rinse-Free Allergen Reducing Cat Shampoo. I used the shampoo when my delivery first arrived about two and a half months ago and it worked beautifully. I haven't used it on the cat since then because I wanted to see if I could rely solely on the food... which I found I could.] I've read some reviews that say that their cat didn't like the taste but, in my case, it was quite the opposite. I'm not saying the other reviewers were wrong, it's just that each cat, of course, is different. In my case, my cat went bonkers the first time I fed her the Purina. Man, she loves the taste and the smell (see photo)! She devours it. And she's the most finicky eater I've ever had. Plus, it's improved her coat. If your cat turns up its nose the first time, I would suggest adding just a little to their regular dry food at first then increase it over time so they can adjust to the taste. As I said, though, my cat LOVES it. I have two other cats in the house and this particular cat (Puck) is very jealous and possessive so I hide the Purina out of sight until it's time to eat. When I pull the Purina bag out just for her, I think she feels like she's special (which she is) and not getting the same-old-same-old dry food that the other two cats are getting (which she's not). I think that also contributes a little to her zealous appetite. She knows the bag by now and puts her face into the opening while I'm trying to pour it into her food dish. Try it if you're experiencing cat dander problems. It's a little more expensive than the regular dry food but it's so well worth the extra few bucks to be able to spend more time closer with your four-legged friend. (Plus, there's a money-back guarantee and you can probably find a $8 off coupon online from Purina.) I just bought another bag recently — Salmon & Rice Formula — and I switch it up every now and then for variety (I think she loves that flavor even more). Fantastic product!
