I have a bunch of area rugs that need replacing after they've gotten too beaten up by dogs. I've been trying different washable rugs. This is a good one, though the design is a bit flawed. Here's some things I've notice about the different washable rugs I've looked at: 1. I prefer the lower pile rugs, like this one. There's pile, and this is soft in the velvety sense, but not much pile, which means that this is not soft underfoot. 2. The washable rugs that are softer underfoot don't look so great to me. This is because the design is printed onto a white or off-white rug, and the color ends up only on the top fibers. The rugs like this that I've tried look especially bad after washing, which somehow leads to more of the white showing. 3. The binding on the edges of these rug differs. This one is good to me with a strong overcast edge in a shade that blends well with the rest of the rug. 4. Some washable rugs are not no-slip on the back, but this one is. There's a grid pattern that's effective to prevent slipping. This doesn't mean that the rug doesn't move at all; it just severely resists moving around. Works for me. 5. The issue with this rug, as with some others I've tried, is that the design on the rug is scaled for the smallest version of this rug. For the 5x7 that I got, the image is just enlarged. This effect has been apparent on a number of washable rugs that I've tried. I'm not sure how to know ahead of time what you'll be getting if you try a larger rug size. It kind of works okay on this rug, but when I was looking for a 9x12, it was really off. Anyway, I wanted to mention it here, because I don't like the effect and you might not either. This rug is very pretty. It is made up of faded blues and creams woven together in an eclectic pattern. The material is very soft and pleasing to walk on. There’s no backing or lining though so if placed on hardwood this might skid. So I recommend using rug grips if putting this down on hardwood, vinyl ir tile. This is one of the softest rugs I've ever owned. While it is a little thin, I don't mind at all because it has an anti-slip backing that makes me feel secure while walking on it. I don’t have to worry about tripping up on it, even if I'm in a rush.

Was very pleased with the product. The rug looks exactly like pictured. A little thin, but I kinda expected it. Makes it easy for my office chair to roll around, and it's surprisingly soft! It definitely comes a little wrinkled from shipping, but I was able to flatten it out within a day or two. Of note: the 5x7 size is massive, and I don't see myself being able to wash the rug in the washing machine. Hopefully it'll clean easily with a vacuum. Will update the review if that's not the case, but so far- I'm super happy with it! ... show more

I really like the blend of pink colors in this rug. It feels really soft and brings an interesting soft element to the floor area. It feels really good when walking on it and I like that it is washable. Nice soft pink rug.

I wasn't too sure about a machine washable rug by mail, but I took a chance on it, 'cause we kinda needed a rug about this size. I was very pleasantly surprised. 'The rug has a nice weight to it, very soft on the feet, a light but functional textured backing, and virtually no dust or out of the package. We unfolded the rug, and it showed some bends from being in the package, but within about two days, it had more or less gone flat. (I did absolutely nothing to encourage it to flatten; I just wanted to see how it played out.) I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'm sure it'll take very little effort to flatten it the rest of the way. Colors are pretty acurate to the pictures. (I got the blue multi option.) I'm not crazy about the colors, and was kinda hoping they'd be a little bolder upon arrival. But, I can't really complain, as it matches the photos. If you want a more discreet color and pattern, then this might be great for you. I have not attempted to wash it yet. It's probably going to be too big for my home washer (we got the 5x7, biggest size). So, I'd have to drag it to the laundromat. Not a big deal, I would just hate to do that and mess it up if it's not really all that "machine washable." Any of the smaller sizes should fit in a regular home washer, no problem. When the time comes, we might see how far we get hanging it up and beating it to clean. YMMV So, yeah, pleasantly surprised with this rug, even if its washability remains unproven. ... show more

The first thing you'll notice is how super soft this rug is. My wife rolled it out and immediately "took it". It's in the kitchen now. The rug is 6mm thick so it's not so high as to stop the Roomba or trip people. It's also fairly heavy, which is a good sign. The sewing around the edges is strong enough to prevent fraying for a long time. I didn't notice the usual rubbery back so I assumed it would slide around. When it didn't I noticed what they call TPR, Thermoplastic Rubber, is the woven back. It's not soft sticky rubber which can make the rug hard to move. It's just rubbery enough to keep it from sliding easily. I didn't expect polyester to be so soft. When I got down to look at it closely I saw that the fibers are all standing up, not looped, and very close together. This is not only soft, polyester is hard to stain or damage so it's a great surface for traffic areas, like our kitchen. They call it "distressed" pattern. It looks distressed but some of the patterns are odd. Will a little more design it would look much better. That said, when have you had a long look at the fine points of the pattern of your rugs? We like it and for the price we like it very much. ... show more
