    • This diffuser works exactly as described & is very quiet, would recommend (Real review- I purchased this item at full price)
Since there were no reviews on this product, I was a little concerned about purchasing, but so far I am very pleased. I purchased this diffuser as a gift for a coworker, but tested it before I gave it to her since the diffuser I bought myself did not work well (Eco Ultrasonic TM Diffuser). This PureSpa diffuser is small and will be attractive and unobtrusive in my friend's office. It is slender, but not top heavy, so it shouldn't get knocked over. It is nearly silent when running with a barely audible whir and occasional soft dripping noises from condensation falling back down from inside the cover. Compared to the Eco diffuser which I could only smell the scent with my face right in the water vapor, I actually smell the 6 drops of essential oil using this PureSpa from at least 10 feet away. For a small diffuser, this is perfect and it functions exactly as described. I feel like the difference may be that with the PureSpa, the vapor is not as visible and clearly dissipates up and into the air. With the Eco, you could see more vapor which appeared heavier (i.e. arched up slightly then straight down towards the floor), and didn't seem to dissipate up. Perhaps the water droplets are smaller with the PureSpa, as they should be. The two oils I used are fairly subtle (jasmine & sweet orange), so I can imagine that stronger scents could be smelled even farther away. I did use tepid water as advised in the instructions, so I can't comment on whether cold water works as well. The lights on this unit are pretty and flicker a little. I think what I'm perceiving as flickering is just the water vapor moving in front of the light, not a problem with the light. I really like the fact that this diffuser has just one button (mist on no light, mist on with changing lights, mist and light off). Even though you can't leave the light on one solid color, I'm fine with that since it means you don't have to click the button a bunch of times to cycle through all the colors (my friend likely won't use the light at all). Just be advised that the outer cover doesn't twist to lock on (just picks straight up). So if you want to pick up this unit with water in it, make sure to take the outer cover off first. I will provide an update after this unit has been used for a while to comment on quality of construction. I like this little diffuser so much that I just purchased the PureSpa Deluxe which has a larger water capacity than this smaller PureSpa diffuser that I'm currently reviewing. I am returning my useless Eco diffuser which cost twice as much as the PureSpa diffusers. ... show more

A great product! Have had many aromatherapy machines and many are very cheaply constructed. This one is put together in a great way. Besides all this, it looks great!

    • Charming color-changing oil diffuser!
I have been showing off this diffuser to everyone who comes over and they are all charmed by the changing lights! Very cute and the soft sound of the oil and water being diffused is soothing at night. I spent quite some time looking at all the different diffusers on Amazon and settled on this product- I am happy I did. This can last up to 7 hours and automatically shuts off when the water/oil is all used up. I have put more oil drops in than advised before, but that is because I like a stronger smell in the room...if someone can tell me why I should only be limited to 5 oil drops total (especially when I am mixing a few oils) I may change my ways. The recommended amount of oil drops is roughly 4-5. That isn't much oil in my opinion, but to each their own. I have actually used this product as a humidifier before when I had a rough cold. The cool air emitted (with Tea Tree oil in it) definitely seemed to help make it easier to inhale at night. You can definitely smell the scents in a large room so this has a decent range. I have made most of my first floor smell like peppermint before! Some notes: *Please use proper grade oils for diffusing *Do not use fragrance oils in this diffuser *The 'steam' is cool, not warm. Have only been using this for 4 days but thusfar I am extremely pleased. Unit is pretty quiet. The slightest sound of it running is far less than other diffusers I have. Runs between 5 to 6 hours before auto shutoff. That is longer than I was expecting. Mist output is not as much as some others but it remains consistent the entire time. Other units I have used the mist output diminishes as it gets closer to no water remaining. It continues to emit the smell of the oils the entire time and does a good job of coverage In a large, open set of rooms. I like the fact it has a funnel that sits on top of the water reservoir then the outer top sits over that. Controls condensation when you remove the outer top. And speaking of the outer top, it just sits on the base so you do have to be careful when you pick it up. This is better than having to fight with a top that sticks and doesn't want to come off, but maybe a small O ring here would be good just to give it a bit of grip. Unit is very light and if there is a downside to it I would say if you have young children that have issues Understanding NO when it comes to touching it, they could easily knock the outer cover off or the unit over. The base is not that wide and the unit is tall. The light works as advertised. Pleasant. The fact that you cannot stop the light at one color is of no issue to me. The buttons do not beep when you push them and the unit does not beep when auto shutoff occurs. I bought this and a different brand 300ml diffuser the same day. Could not be more opposite on how I feel about the two of them. This one is great and at only 60% the cost of the other one. I would very much recommend this diffuser if you do not care about timers and features that You may or may not use. Now it is just a matter of seeing how it holds up over time. ... show more
