My Xbox wouldn’t turn on. And, after googling the symptoms, it was suggested that I try a new power supply. I got this one hoping it would solve my issues, but it didn’t. And, honestly, I can’t be sure if it’s my Xbox or this power supply that isn’t working. Power supply was missing one or two of its rubber feet fresh out of the box.     • Cheap replacement
This was a cheap replacement for the 360 I bought recently. I am planning to replace it with an official though. It is far lighter than the official leading me to believe it likely saved cost on things like capacitors that will clean electricity going into the unit. It has not caused any issues, but i want to ensure a long life for my console so I will be taking the precaution. ... show more

It works, yes, packaging was minimal yet alright. I have two major gripes. The first is that it feels very light for how big it is. I have a feeling it is only the size it is so that it can match the original power supply, when in reality it could be made much smaller and more compact. Honestly, matching the look is nice, but I think it is a waste of plastic as well as space. My other gripe is that it is very obviously meant to be 3 prong, although the included cable cheaps out and is only 2. Not sure where the ground prong went, but I prefer at the minimum for my cheap Chinese power supplies to at least be properly grounded. Otherwise all else seems fine for a replacement Xbox 360 slim power supply. ... show more

This feels very light. The case feet are just soft foam. The Xbox connector feels solid, and looks like good quality. This has a noisy 12V blower fan. Loud whoosh, and some buzz. During boot I see it pulling about 82W at the outlet. Drops down to 70W idling. DVD playback hovers around 57-63W. Powered off it draws 2W. I found an Anandtech article that says the stock supply gets down to 0.6W when powered off, but otherwise the power draws for this unit seem reasonable. This appears to be a 96W supply based on the internal markings. From what I can see the heaviest games on a 360 S pull around 90W so it will probably function, but there isn't much headroom. The noisy blower seems to do an adequate job keeping it cooled so heat shouldn't be a major concern either. == Internals == Half the case is pretty empty. It just houses the blower, and has the in/out vents. The supply on the other half is fairly basic. The only input protection is a 5A fuse, no electrical noise suppression, or surge protection, etc. The circuit board is marked "SND-333A 12V/8A" (96W) so now I doubt this was ever designed to hit the 135W output target. On the primary side is OB2269C PWM controller for flyback supplies. It controls WG F10N65SE Mosfet. The secondary output passes through a pair of WG MBRF20100SCT dual-diode packages. The 12V output then seems to be controlled by a resistor divider/transistor and HS90N03 Mosfet. The blower fan is tapped off the same output so there is no speed control. The 5V standby output seems to be from a 8-pin chip marked AD35063. I could not identify it. ... show more

Product as advertised. Powers the XBOX 360 and works well. It is for the slim model so make sure you know which XBOX 360 you have. If you have the older, fat XBOX 360s, this will not work. Lighter than the original and puts out little heat.
