    • Love these shorts, but same quality issues as others

These are nearly the perfect pair of shorts for me. The elastic waistband holds well, they are very breathable and cooling, very comfortable, and love all the pocket options to hold many items and have the security for important items with the zippers. I originally bought one pair for a lightweight, comfortable travel short for a very long international trip and they delivered on everything I hoped. I liked them so much I broke my rule of not having too many pairs of the same thing and ordered four more pairs recently. However, that's where the removal of a star comes in. The original pair has been worn and washed many times without issue. But one of the new ones is facing the same quality issue that others have mentioned of the crotch seam coming apart after only wearing 3-4 times, and none of those under any sort of strenuous activity. I read another review who mentioned they were able to contact Pudolla and get a replacement pair, but am running into roadblocks since they were sold by Amazon and I'm about 2 weeks past the 30-day return policy. I would still recommend these and have to others, but know they will be a bit of a roll of the dice. They do tend to run slightly large, by the size chart I should probably be an XL, but the L fits absolutely perfect for me with a waist in the 36-38 range. ... show more

    • Great shorts - fit well - love the fabric and the pockets

Lots of elastic in the waist - so even though I've gained some weight lately and not sure if I will lose it, still can wear these in large. (You definitely need a belt, though.) Pockets are roomy, note 3 in front have zippers, rest only velcro. Lots of pocket space. I can easily fit wallet, phone, car keys and glasses, and still have one empty. Only one pocket in back, and I would say on the wrong side (it's on the right). Not a big deal though. Couple comments on negative reviews: 1) I don't know yet if something will tear - will revise if it does. 2) Someone complained about a metal loop or carabiner on the front - but none on this pair. A huge improvement over the REI shorts I've been wearing - fits much better, more stretch in the waist, more pockets. And far nicer than Columbia shorts I have (which have very short pockets). I bought about 4 pairs of these. They're super light and breathable. Very stretchy for a nice comfortable fit. They're water wicking and very quick drying. All the seams and fasteners held up to daily use as well as regular machine wash and dry cycles

Bought 3 pairs of these shorts and on pair the crotch stitching came loose after wearing them 3 times and the 2nd pair the same thing happened after wearing them about a half dozen times. This was not me "ripping" the crotch open by my movements - the stitching just came loose. Fortunately my wife is sews and was able to fix them. The third pair no issues so far. Shorts are lightweight and comfortable to wear and fit well but ya'll have got to work on quality control!!!!!!! ... show more

I buy these for my elderly handicap father. He absolutely loves them. They are comfortable, stylish and easy for him to get on. Plenty of pockets to put stuff and light, yet sturdy to wear around anywhere you may be going. Highly recommend these shorts!

I’m a 6’1” 230 lb grandpa and I like the fit. I would rate higher but the spandex % is a bit high so the have a slight rub noise. They do wash and dry without wrinkle.
