Your ps5 will get hot and stay hot no matter how long this is turned on. I do not recommend. Hopefully be able to return the item and try another one out. UPDATE. This fan works vertically and horizontally even with a stand. I originally had ps5 vertical with fan and no stand. Later on, I put ps5 horizontally and attached stand to it, I had to slightly move ps5 stand over in order to fit the fan on with the stand and it managed to fit and work perfectly! I believe it can also be shut off with the push of a button while ps5 is on and running, if it's an extra cold day and fan is not needed at the time. I did notice after shutting off ps5 it will turn on for a very short period of time and then shut off. This is my first fan I've bought and used on an electronic so I can't personally compare it to anything else, but so far I am satisfied and it is working well! After a fairly easy installation, these fans work great. The blue LED lights stay on when the fans are on. You can turn them off by pushing a button or powering off your system. The fit is great, and these really draw the hot air out fast.

Initially was very quiet, but progressively become very noisy. Started to interfere with game chat. Players asking what is that winding, droning sound in your mic. On the upside it does draw out the heat and the blue lights are cool.

Super easy to install. YAY No cords! It's really quiet as well, I had to put my ear close to it in order to hear it. within 5 mins of using it, I could already feel the heat it was pulling out of the system. Worth the value.
