Flute is an awkward instrument to mask. I had to re-sew one of the flaps: it was stitched on the wrong sides for the angle of the head joint. Best flute mask I've used. It is spacious and built so material stays far enough out so sound is not muffled. Awkward to get flute in and out but all have the same issue. Do wish the flap/door for the flute head joint to enter and exit on the sides were bigger so more protective. It's the same size as the opening. Then after playing for a period once the flute was removed would have to brush the flap/door with my hand so that it was not 'open'. Extending more material further back would help with that I believe. ... show more

Th iui s mask gives you plenty of room to play the flute. I've tried 4 different kinds, this one is the best. I even modified a singer's mask and wasted more money. Thus one is great. From a 69 year old, long time flutust.

Flute players have unique needs from masks. This mask is the best I've found. There is space for air flow (sound production) across the tone hole, and the wire allows you to bend into the shape you need.
