I’ve been using the wood and spice scent beard wash, balm, and oil for a couple of years now, and absolutely love the scent! My gf also enjoys the scent and I’ve received several compliments on it. I have a pretty dry beard so I have to use a bit more oil but it seems to absorb quickly and doesn’t leave it feeling oily throughout the day. I have purchased the Cypress and Vetyver balm in the past and decided to give this one a try...both are awesome. I've tried other products such as balms and creams on my beard but this oil is my go to. Blends well with my natural scent and doesn't leave my beard greasy.

My main problem with this oil is the smell, because beards are close to nose you cant ignore the smell. Its hard to explain the fragrance of oil but ill try my best. Imagine you have wooden cabin without windows. with bunch of black socks inside that have been left there after a session of jogging in the park. You dont open this cabin for 2 weeks. Then you enter the cabin. this is the smell of this oil. very heavy. hard to get rid of even after wash. ... show more

I've been using the wood and spice beard oil for years and love it, as does my wife. I would have given 5 stars but the quality of the dropper has gone downhill. The bulb is rock hard. Cannot squeeze it easily unless you heat it up with a hair dryer or something similar. This makes the usability of this great product questionable. If the company is reading this get with your dropper/ lid supplier to address this issue or find a better one. ... show more

Scent: Cypress and Vetyver
There is so much to like about this beard oil. The Cypress and Vetyver scent is very nice, and different than most of the "woodsy" scents out there...it's like a piney/citrusy aroma, very fresh and invigorating without being over powering. The oil itself is light and rubs in easily, brings just a touch of cooling menthol, and leaves my beard shiny and soft without being oily. I genuinely enjoy applying and experiencing this oil; I have used it on my beard at varying lengths and it always performs. The bottle and box are well styled, and the bottle is dark glass with a dropper. To top it all off, the product is produced just outside of Florence, Italy, which is one of my favorite places in the world, and everything about this product seems to capture the essence of that region. That said, the reason for my 4-star review is that this oil does not help to alleviate beard flakes. If only this oil included a good moisturizing agent, like Jojoba oil, it would be a slam-dunk 5-star product. As a result, I use another brand for "everyday" application, and keep the Proraso for special times when I want to feel/smell extra nice...like going out with my wife and friends, or special/formal events. ... show more
