I bought two of these 18" x 60" shelves. One arrived with only superficial scrapes and minor dings. I can live with that. That other one, however, arrived with the backsplash bent, which in turn caused the shelf surface to be bent, to the extent that shelf was unusable. Damage can happen in shipping, however what was significant about the bent backsplash is that it was bent from the inside OUTWARDS. For this to happen with no significant damage to the sturdy cardboard shipping box strongly suggests it was bent BEFORE it was put into the box, i.e., this was damage that never should have been allowed out the door of the factory. The damage was such that it would have been obvious, and not a minor ding that could have been overlooked. I have returned this damaged shelf for a refund, and have kept the one with superficial damage. I am troubled by the claim that the shelf is NSF Certified. That claim is made repeatedly in the listing, and the item is shipped with a sticker declaring it to be NSF Certified. The NSF website, however, currently says "Profeeshaw is advertising product as NSF Certified on Amazon. Profeeshaw does not have product certified by NSF at this time and is not authorized to use the NSF mark or claim NSF certification." For my use it is not essential that it be NSF certified, but this appears to be a knowing false claim intended to deceive purchasers. If they are willing to make this misrepresentation, what other deceptions are being perpetrated? A third problem is that the edges of the shelf brackets are very sharp and present a risk of injury to anyone who comes in contact with them. I addressed this by covering the sharp edges with multiple layers of tape on the one shelf I kept. That should prevent injury, but for anyone using the shelf in a commercial kitchen this would probably create a food safety risk. If the manufacturer would accurately describe the shelf, not ship obviously damaged products, and would construct it in a way that avoided the sharp edge on the support bracket it would be a very good value. I debated between giving 2 stars or 3, and decided that the deliberate deception regarding NSF certification and the probability that damage to one of the shelves occurred prior to closing the shipping box indicated willful actions that warranted the lesser rating. ... show more

I really like these shelves but they have one heck of a time getting it to you in good shape. This is the third one, out of five, that has come damaged. At least this one has all the pieces!!!!
