These shelves promise a lot... I doubt they'd hold 450# for the 60x18" shelf with the hardware provided. The cheap butterfly and 1.5" screws (6 per shelf) I doubt could hold me and my wife sitting on them. I replaced the hardware where I could find a stud with 3"#12 wood screws. Now even with the added hardware when installing the brackets it took very little effort to knock a bolt off it's weld. Two bolts were knocked off out of the nine (1 on the middle bracket and one on an outer bracket. I attached a picture of the middle bracket the outer bracket is installed and not all the way broken but crooked. That and the installation instructions were not provided! ... show more
