Cheap price for the amount of items, and the best pencils! No breaking is making coloring so much more enjoyable!

Fun set! Lots of tools, great way to try Prismacolor.

Great buy! Lots of materials that can be used repeatedly. Not all are equal though (thought he items I wasn't pleased with are cheap and don't diminish the value, though they did knock a star off my review.) ERASER: I've used Magic Rub erasers before, but this one feels kind of slimy and did not eras
e, just smudged. SHARPENER: Cheap. Feels like plastic, pencil goes in on an angle, doesn't sharpen great. I've others that work beautifully, this one is getting tossed. LINER MARKERS: Very nice, smooth, no skipping. Give it a second or two to dry though - it doesn't dry as immediately as my other liner markers. DOUBLE ENDED MARKERS: Try these on scrap over the pencil first. In one of the lessons, they are used to blend the pencil, but I don't think they did that when I used them. Pencil and marker can be layered over one another though. Pretty colors. The caps are tight, but even with arthritic hands, I was able to open these just fine. ARTIST ROLL: This only holds the pencils, but not all of them. I did put two each in a couple of the loops, but that's pretty tight. I checked here and their site, and this roll is not sold separately - I'd LOVE a larger one. But it's nice to have for storing pencils and seeing the colors all at once. LESSONS: I highly recommend viewing them before drawing along with them! They do skip around a little, and be prepared to use your pause button as they move along pretty quickly. I did learn some new techniques in lessons one and two. I haven't done the third lesson yet. In some reviews I saw people saying they were charged. You do NOT have to provide address or credit card info, but you do have to set up an account, which is easy. I just entered my first name, e-mail, and the code on the inside of the box, then hit the "redeem" button, and I had immediate access. DON'T DRAW? The instructions show how to sketch out, step by step, in the first animal lesson. The second animal lesson is kind of quick and doesn't have a page showing step-by-step instructions. In each, it's possible to print these and trace them if you want to color but don't feel confident drawing. COLORED PENCILS: I already have Prismacolor pencils and like them. These were mostly new colors to me with the exception of four (white, black, a green and yellow). I had no idea what colors would be included, so this was a happy surprise for me. The points get dull fast, so keeping a sharpener handy is important. TURQUOISE GRAPHITE PENCILS: LOVE these!! I had them on my wish list, and they are very nice. Three are included: 2H, H, and 2B. Sharpen easily, sketch nicely, erase cleanly. PAPER & GRID: I haven't tried either one yet. There were no instructions in the first two lessons, but then I noticed the bonus items in the account. They include how to use the grid. One is how to use that grid. There is no charge for those, they are in addition to the lessons and look helpful. The paper has a texture to it and is a nice size. PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS: These are referred to in the lessons and shown as nicely printed out, but they are not included in the box. One is about the color wheel and very useful, but is online only (animal lesson 2). I'd LOVE to have that in print. OVERALL: Love this set, have no regrets. It was a Prime Day buy for me, so the cost was less than a smaller set of pencils alone would be, and that makes this an incredible buy. I would not have purchased either type of marker included, but this was a fun way to try these out. This would make a nice gift, and it's fun to have this set if interested in learning how to draw with colored pencils.

I have the large set of Prismacolor pencils but wanted to learn a few more tricks and this was on sale. I am happy (as always) with Prismacolor products and the training with this set!

Love the box kit for the value of what is inside, but found the videos lacking as far as instruction. I’m not sure I would purchase again or suggest it to someone unless you just wanted the contents inside.

With everything in this kit, you really can’t go wrong plenty of quality, art supplies, and a drawing pad with quality paper. If you’re looking to get into colored pencils, this is a great way to add to the array of colors you have in your palette.
