  • Gift to myself
I'm a newbie at acrylic painting and wanted to experiment with different styles and I saw an artist use this in a demo and thought it would be fun to try, and it is! It is very easy to handle, makes lovely strokes across the canvas and the possibilities are unlimited on how it can change any painting. ... show more

  • Very Useful for Collage
I am a collage artist, and I use this tool all the time. When applying paper collage elements to a canvas, I use this tool to smooth out the paper and eliminate wrinkles. It works very well.

  • Feels great in my hand, does what I expected it to do, cleans easily.
Anything that I use with acrylic paint that cleans easily is a plus! This does wash off easily (so far). It feels great in my hand and is easy to hold, especially compared to a credit card or palette knife. I'm still learning, so much of what does not yet work for me is due to user error :) Very happy with this purchase. I'd have bought some of the other textures, but the one strike is the cost, so I'm using just this one for now. ... show more

  • Perfect as always
I have tried numerous companies but I continue to come back to this one. They always deliver. Greatest quality scrapers that never degrade over time. Super easy to clean too!

  • Great Idea
This silicone catalyst is great for spreading paint around on larger canvases. Paint is easily cleaned off with a little soap and warm water. It is a very handy and sturdy art tool and will last for a long time. Great value for the price.

  • Nice
Great tool to use. I use mine to make lines in my painting and to swipe. Very nice.

  • Can use for kitchen arts in addition to visual arts
My ex was a painter and would drag me to art stores periodically and i saw one of these in Dick Blicks and i had no clue what it was but i started playing with it and immediately thought of using it as sort of a flexible bench-knife spatula combo. I was right. I now have multiples of them and using them in baking applications more than most other tools. As a hand tool i have better tactile feeling vs using a handled spatula and it feels less clumsy. It doesn’t scratch or scrape against metal mixing bowls or metal kitchen tables or stone counter tops. Its a little blunt to be using for dividing doughs and such but i still use it 9 out of ten times. It’s stiff but maneuverable with a fatter “handle” end that tapers down to the business end. ... show more

  • Awesome Tool
Omg, how did I not know that this tool existed? I have been using an old credit card on my mixed media but the saw a demo and ordered. This is my new favorite tool! It's even safe to use on gelatin plates.
