  • Coffee, coffee and more coffee please!
Color: Black Size: 6 Cup
The Primula Stovetop Espresso and Coffee Maker is a well-reviewed Moka Pot that is a great choice for those who want to make espresso at home without the expense of a dedicated espresso machine. It is made of aluminum and is available in a variety of sizes. Users rate it as easy to use, durable, and affordable, and it gets high marks for the quality of the espresso it produces. If you are looking for a no-frills way to make stovetop espresso, the Primula is a great option. I have been using it for sometimes now. No issue at all. Coffee taste great! ... show more

  • One of the best gifts I have ever received
Color: Silver Size: 6 Cup
My husband gifted me this coffee pot for my birthday. I was a little skeptical because it seemed like a lot of work for a little coffee. In reality, there is very little upkeep you have to do to this little pot to keep it clean, and I'm sure you're supposed to use a certain kind of coffee but I just use the regular stuff I use in my drip coffee maker. I rinse the pot thoroughly, fill the reservoir with filtered water, measure out my coffee, twist on the lid, and put it on the stove. In no time, I have the most flavorful cup of coffee ever. Technically it's about 4 shots of espresso but I split it between myself and my husband, so we are well caffeinated and ready to go in the morning! We don't have to drink multiple cups to feel awake and energized. It has the added bonus of looking super cute on our stove. I love this little guy! A word of advice to people just starting out with this pot - make sure to set the pot on the edge of your burner so the handle is not over the heat. The handle is plastic and could melt if you had it turned the wrong way. ... show more

  • Great coffee, here is my honest review
Color: Silver Size: 12 Cup
This Primula 12-Cup Aluminum stovetop Espresso coffee makers is a copy of Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Percolator at half the price. I have used Bialetti for almost all of my life until I moved to the U.S. I used Bialetti for a while but was disappointed with the coffee quality (due to the beans, not the Bialetti per se), so I switched to different other systems trying to get the perfect cup of coffee (I have actually tried them all, so I really know what I am talking about). I finally settled with Nespresso, which is the absolute winner in coffee making around the world. As I wrote someplace else, the only better coffee you can get, better than Nespresso, is at a coffee place in Rome named La Tazza d'Oro, near the Pantheon -just google it up and you will see pictures, etc. If you want to know my opinion, Bialetti system comes #2, very very close (to the point that if you do not want to spend big money on Nespresso machine and/or be forced to buy their capsules, Bialetti IS the way to go), but it all depends on the coffee, obviously. Something you do not need to worry with Nespresso because you always get consistently the best possible coffee, every time, no matter what (this is a very important consideration, because depending where you live, you may not be able to buy excellent/outstanding coffee beans, so you will never get a great cup of espresso with this machine. Also, I do realize coffee is above all about personal taste, so you may be happy with a regular Joe at your local convenience store ... nothing wrong about it, it is your coffee, I am just talking from the perspective of a European person who is absolutely obsessed with coffee and tried dozens of varieties and systems ... the only part of the coffee industry I am not familiar with is the actual growing of it, but I am actually planning on to join an enterprise venue in Guatemala and Costa Rica so I can also speak from that perspective as well). Anyway, now to this Primula. I have tried it with Costa Rica coffee from cost co, and with and the results were great, as far as I can tell, same as I remember with Bialetti, The difference of the prince may be due to this being a new brand (for as far as I can tell), so they want to get some share of the market and their products are being marked down. Also, this is made in China, which is a bummer to tell you the truth. Bialettis are made in Italy, and you can't beat (you can get close, but not surpass) the quality of aluminum products made in Italy. Finally, I jut got this machine a couple of weeks ago, so I can NOT tell you if this is durable, or speak about the quality on the long term. Usually, all the Bialettis I purchased and used in the past lasted forever, literally, and me purchasing a new one was because of gifts, or because I needed a smaller/bigger one, etc. As a matter of fact, these things make better coffee as they get older. If you are planning on purchasing this, I absolutely recommend you to do so. Go ahead, you will get great espresso coffee on your stovetop IF you spend some good money on good quality coffee (most of the coffee sold in the U.S. does not fit that category). Also, beat in mind that this is a huge coffee maker, for 12 cups of espresso which is designed for family breakfasts (6 people or more). If you are planning on using this coffee maker for 2/3 cups of coffee, get the smaller one. I hope my honest review was helpful. If you go to Spain, France, Italy, almost everybody has one of these (Bialetti, most likely), and nowadays people also have bought a Nespresso machine in addition to this one, but this one is still being heavily used. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Great little coffee pot
Color: Silver Size: 6 Cup
I’ve used this coffee pot several times and it works wonderfully. It can’t make a huge amount of coffee, but I think it’s meant more for espresso shot-esque coffee sizes anyway. The coffee turns out pretty good and the pot is easy to clean. It seems like a number of these reviews run the pot through the dishwasher and that’s why they’re saying the metal finish comes off…. I’m not sure why you would ever run an item like this through the dishwasher, it’s clearly a hand wash only item lol…. My only complaint is that it leaks a little bit when pouring and I always try to screw the top on extra tight but no luck! Very small complaint as it’s a tiny leak and I just make sure to pour the coffee over the sink. Anyway good pot! Don’t put it through the dishwasher! ... show more

  • Makes strong coffee! Works fast!
Color: Silver Size: 6 Cup
I have seen these type of coffee makers all my life but have never tried one. Recently I had a friend ask me to bring him one to Mexico that is this specific brand, so I bought one for myself as well. ^_^ Using it was super simple, it was so simple that I looked at two or three videos online to make sure I was doing the right thing (because it was so simple). You put the water in the bottom, put the filter in, put ground coffee in it without packing it, lock on the top part, put over fire (I tried medium fire so the coffee sips upwards slowly) then pour! Two things: I made the mistake of putting this in a right angle to get the last of the coffee out and that made the ground coffee sip through into my coffee. Boo, totally my fault - lesson learned! My stove has 3 different sized flames - I used the smallest in fear that the black wooden handle might burn if I used the strong flames. Overall, very happy with my purchase! The coffee came out strong and flavorfully, this is the same ground coffee I use on my single-cup-coffee maker, and it tasted completely different! Highly recommended if you like expresso (or just strong coffee). ^_^ ... show more
