I bought this umbrella in June 2021 and have been using it pretty much spring through fall ever since. It has worked to help in the rain as well as the sun. We have mainly been using it for the sun, though it does take some adjustment—especially if you are out walking and you change directions depending on how low the sun is in the sky— you may need to adjust the position of the umbrella again to keep the sun off of you; so it’s not like set it and forget it unless the sun is high noon in the sky. Usually my husband will wear it and I will adjust it for him as we’re on our walk. It is important to use the adjustment screws on the back plate to pivot and angle it just right if the sun is not straight up in the sky. The umbrella has taken quite a beating since we live in a windy place, and one of the poles has recently broken, but it hasn’t affected the overall use of the umbrella. And it just broke probably two months ago, so up until that point it nothing was broken even though we use it in the wind all the time. So it’s still working and getting seasonal daily use even after two years. I see a lot of people on here claim it’s not durable. I’m not sure how ours has done well when theirs failed. This arrived with no instructions. My husband and I managed to put it together, but it doesn’t work. It’s also so tiny, it’s built for a child. Save your money and pass on this!

I like that it's hands-free like I said it is and I'm a pretty thick girl and I still fits me around my chess but the umbrella it self is pretty small it does not cover against the rain so I bought a new one really to replace that hopefully it works better this way if not I'm just going to send it back ... show more

Exactly as pictured. Straps & umbrella-holder are adjustable in many ways. Received via DHL from Hong Kong in a week. However, the umbrella has a toxic odor that has dissipated over the last two weeks, but not completely. You can attach a different umbrella if you want, but most umbrellas don't have the 3-tier height adjustment that this one does. Additionally, the 3-tier height adjustment is a great feature; however, when you adjust it down a level, you can't lock it in place, so if there is wind, it can blow it right back up to the higher levels, which is annoying. I'm going to try using a paper clamp to hold the umbrella height in the lowest position. ... show more

This is better than i expected. Which is rare! LOL! It’s just like any Backpack once you put it on you don’t really feel it anymore. I bought it mostly to keep the sun off my back in the hot Florida sun while I’m working in the yard as previously I was working with one hand and holding an umbrella and the other! 🤦♂️ You can adjust the angle of this slightly which makes it usable while you’re standing up straight or when you’re kneeling down to keep the maximum amount of sun off of you. The umbrella is a little larger than a “normal“ umbrella which is obviously a bonus. The height is also extremely adjustable which is nice and again it allows you to maximize or minimize the amount of sun or rain hitting you. There are no instructions on how to assemble the umbrella. Once assembled it’s to high up and too far back. Not over my head therefore no shade! What are the extra screws for? The color of the umbrella is nice. Not satisfied at all.
