Many of the oscillating multitools require a chuck to change blades. Less reliable more expensive alternatives don’t include the battery, or charger, or bag! I really wanted to stay with current brand tools (traditionally cheaper) but this was a much better tool for less. This dewalt tool has a quick release lever to release the blade. Additionally, this design holds the blade tightly and won’t strip the pins that secure the blade which has happened in previous corded and battery brands I have used. It’s ready to go (charge it) out of the box-portable and versatile where you need it without the extension cord. I have used it to trim aluminum, cut outs for electrical and other custom fit type cuts, detail sanding, easily cut through framing nails, remove exterior gooey caulk. Trim tile. For this price, I honestly couldn't pass up this oscillating tool. I have a corded rigid oscillation tool and it's great, but the cord is such an inconvenience and the quite change head isn't nearly as easy and fast as this Dewalt. The battery charges quickly and really lasts a very long time. This entire package is fantastic, I'm so happy to have seen this on Amazon. Even the carrying case is wonderfully designed and super convenient for storing the tool and many extra blades. The three speed adjustment is such a great idea and what makes this even better, is that each individual speed is wholly variable based upon depth of trigger pull. I honestly can't imagine a more user-friendly and ultra dependable tool as this one and like I mentioned above, the price is unbeatable. Much cheaper than the same tool at the blue big box store. I own a corded version of this tool, but the Dewalt battery powered one is so much more convenient, especially when working away from power. Comes with a battery charger and a 1.5 AH battery (NO LEDs indicating the level of charge) which is good for most jobs. The mechanism for loading blades is done with a lever which does not require any tools. It is variable speed but takes a little getting used to the trigger to control the setting you want. It has a light that comes on when you engage the trigger, super convenient, especially for those under lit places when using the tool. Great tool and is well built. ... show more

Really love this multi tool. Well balanced, lightweight, and comfortable. Plenty of power and the variable trigger is a must. Also changing the blades is super quick and easy. Its by far the best multi tool Ive ever used.

Works great, but the blade that came with it lasted about 5 minutes. Cutting nails instead of pulling them seems to be the provided blades Achilles heel. I bought different blades, and all is well with the world.

Battery holds its full charge and the tool work as it should.
