I decided to error on the side of caution & get this big extension cord. Ironically the Tig Welders plug is way smaller, doesn’t make sense. Anyway, you will not be disappointed with this, connections are solid & smooth & not way too tight. I’ve had it out below freezing & it’s flexible, worth every penny! Be sure to confirm your local electrical codes on what gauge wire you need to wire up the wall outlet. (Naturally if needed hire an electrician.) I hang it on my garage hose so one can see just how massive this cable is in comparison to my garden hose. ... show more

Works perfectly for running the 240v off my generator, to my welding equipment almost 20ft away. No overheating or any BS like that yet. 👍 I use it fairly often too. 3-5 times a week for 3-5hrs at a time. Not commercial usage but a lot for home use.

There are a lot of cords out there that say they are 50 amp cords. 8 or 10 ga. Wire isn't enough to power a 50 amp machine. This 6/3 cord is what is needed to do the job. Its big and heavy and smells like a new set of mud tires.
