  • Good starter stand but needs improvements
I was waiting to write a review until I was able to use it in the woods. After my first sit with it today in the woods (5 hours) it’s a very sturdy stand (id hope so with how much it weighs). I was surprised though even with the weight it’s not that uncomfortable to pack in with better straps the ones that come with are very thin and the padding doesn’t help much. Setting up does take a little longer due to “reinstalling” the support arms. (I’ll get into details later). Once it is on the tree though very solid eats into pines the best. Oaks are a little iffy especially if after a rain. But if dry, oaks aren’t too bad. The harness is actually a good harness for being free. Does come with a nice cinch strap tree strap, and support relief strap which I use for hanging my gear. For the seat you’ll definitely want to get something better I’m thinking a mesh style seat. I do have a lot of cons for it things that I can diy fix or at least make it a little more quiet. Overall a good starter stand for me, once I get a better climber I’ll most likely transition this one to a lock on stand. Hope the review helps ! Pros: very sturdy and quiet once up in the tree. Comes with everything to get you started and hunting. Safety harness is a good starter. Love that it came with the tensioner straps to keep the seat and foot platform connected. Makes it even more solid once set on a tree. Cons: Having to reinstall the support arms are annoying when you have to take it apart to backpack in and then reinstall to put up on a tree. The cushion seat that comes with the stand is horrible after 30 min you will become numb. Backpack straps could be better but get the job done. The area inside the stand while you’re sitting is tight I’m 5’10” 180 and my knees touch the gun rail when trying to sit comfortably. The foot stirrups are garbage due to being thin nylon straps. Does come with a bungee cord for your ankles but I use that for different things. C-clamps are a noise maker holds the support arms to the frame, and used for the tree lines. I wrapped in duct tape to try and dampen some metal on metal noises. ... show more

  • Better than I expected.
At the price point, I was worried. Didn’t work up a sweat at base of tree fumbling with a hunk of junk! Climes well. Sturdy on a windy day! Could be some improvements! Mostly good stand.

  • Primal climber vs Guide Gear climber same price but Primal is the way to go
I ordered 2 different climbers same day this one and a Guide Gear climber and the Primal stand is hands down better quality Even though they were the same price. This stand is coated in a protective coating along with thicker more secure cables and an actual seat not a flimsy one, the assembly on the primal only took minutes most of it was done already vs the guide gear climber that was a headache to assemble and some of the checkered wire for the base piece is broken. Climbing and comfortability also go to primal just a way higher quality option in the cheaper climber market ... show more

  • Not a good purchase
First thing i noticed about this product was how difficult it is to assemble out of the box. It’s a pain that it has to be disassembled and reassembled to bring it in and out of the woods. Very heavy to carry for any amount of distance. Not much space once it’s set up in tree which makes it very uncomfortable. The most important thing that I had noticed was how the teeth do not sink into tree the way they should which makes it difficult to get the platform flat and safe (which is probably why it comes with a free harness). I personally would not recommend this item and would buy something more sturdy, time efficient and reliable. ... show more

  • Great for the price point
Lacks a lot that the more expensive stands have, and it's a bit heavy. But that doesn't stop it from being a great stand that does its job, and does it well. I'll take the money I saved, and spend it on some other Amazon item while I sit in my stand waiting for a deer to stumble into me.

  • Not for a grown man
It would be a good stater stand for a teen. Its way to heavy for what it is. Spend a little more and get a summit. If your just doing a quick hunt on private land where you don’t have to walk very far I guess it could work. If your doing any kind of public land hunting it’s not what you need
