The assembly instructions were clear and easy, but the manufacturer did absolutely NONE of the work. Some of the assembly I had to do could have easily been done before shipped. I mean absolutely NOTHING is assembled at all. And in my photo you can see that I haven’t yet put in the last drawer...that’s because they didn't send me 2 nails. But I can contact them and get them sent to me. Until then, I’m going to have to live with this. But You can see, compared to the size of all the items I have around the dresser, it’s size is not that big. But it is good quality. ... show more

Overall, very pleased with this dresser, especially given the low price! It was relatively easy to put together. The screws and drawer hardware were color coded, which was a great touch! And all of the holes were properly aligned so that it was easy to screw pieces together and everything was straight and level when completed (this has certainly been an issue for me in the past with cheap furniture, but happily was not a problem with this piece). Assembly took me about 2.5 hours by myself, but it definitely would have gone faster if I had someone working with me, and if I had used a power drill instead of the handheld screwdriver. It looks very nice when completed - there are a few pieces with some chipped paint on the edges, but it is so small that is hardly noticeable and we can easily paint over it. As a few others have said, it's completely particle board, so I wouldn't expect it to last forever. This is great for a guest room, or a kid's room where it can get a lot of wear & tear, but you won't feel guilty about tossing it in a few years time. If you are looking for something very sturdy to last for many years, this is probably not it. Overall, very happy with this purchase and a great value for the money - it looks much nicer than $200 and is certainly better designed than other low-cost furniture I've purchased.     • Low quality, splintering trash.

Having ordered from prepac before, I knew what quality to expect and it wasn't difficult to put together! However, as I was finishing up with the main dresser body, the center piece splintered and broke away from the screws holding it in place -- effectively ruining the entire piece, as the other parts were not made to hold the weight, and thus causing them to break as well. I didn't even get to see if the drawers worked well, as I hadn't gotten that far. It's incredibly disappointing, as I was very excited to finally have a place to put my clothes after moving. I knew the quality wasn't the best, but I didn't expect it to literally fall apart. I will definitely be seeking a replacement or a refund, as this is just unacceptable. I'll update my review once I get in contact with customer service. also worth noting, it's a few inches longer than it claims to be. Quite a pain if you're trying to put it in a specific place. ... show more

Assembly was very difficult. Similar pieces were not labeled and I was left to more or less guess what orientation they were supposed to be in, resulting in some mistakes. Also, product had several scratches on it. They give you a sharpie to cover up the scratches in the original packaging so this seems like a common occurrence ... show more

So for the money, keep that in mind, it was ok to put together. You take care of the outside, and don't overstuff your drawers, it can last you for a long time. I purchased a runner to place on top and a mirror with lights to complete the look with existing furniture already in the bedroom. Purchased from HD knobs to match the bureau and it looks the same. No one will know they are separates....Very nice touch. ... show more

I’m fairly mechanically inclined and it took me a solid 3 hours to assemble. This is probably too difficult to assemble for the average customer. Also, it’s very heavy (approx 75lbs) and therefore gets pretty beat up during shipping. Ours came with several deep scratches and a good sized chip. We are going to try to get a partial refund for the damage. Little chance yours will arrive without damage. If I had to do it over again I would spend a little more for a fully assembled dresser from a furniture store and have it delivered. ... show more
