I had never travelled with my dog who is a senior citizen and can get cranky at times so it was extremely important to me that we were both comfortable on this upcoming adventure. He is a 11 lb. Pomeranian so I opted for the medium size (17 inch) carrier. It worked great! We flew on Southwest Airlines and it fit snuggly under the seat of a Boeing 737. I really liked the zipper windows on all sides so it was easy to reach in and pet him or give him water. Another great detail (probably geared towards feline escape artists) were the tiny clasps on each of those zippers to effectively lock 'em in. The best feature however is the fabric slot stitched on one side of the carrier that slips over the handle of your luggage so you don't have to carry it! Overall a well constructed carrier that has survived three flights without any damage or wear. It had all the features to promote stress free travel. If only it kept my dog from barking at the TSA agents! HA! ... show more

I was wary about buying this at first because there were no reviews yet. I took a chance since the product looked similar to some other soft carriers on Amazon and was the most affordable one. I was looking for a carrier for my new kitty to bring her to her first vet appointment. I wanted to get a soft case so I could put it away between uses because I live in a small apartment. PROS: -Thick mesh on all the paneling. My cat is pretty calm, so I'm probably not the best person to determine if it's claw-safe. -Lots of openings (two side, one top) with lockable zippers to prevent escape -Small opening on the side for you to pet your animal or feed treats to calm them down -Thick fur lining on the bottom so the bag does fold into itself and has some softness for your animal -Seatbelt loops to secure the bag in your car in case of abrupt stopping -Hand carry or shoulder carry -Foldable for flat storage -Plenty of space for my kitten - keep in mind that she's only 3 lbs in the photos! I think this would be good for a pet up to raound 12 lbs to fit comfortably. Any bigger, they may feel a bit restricted. CONS: -There's a strong plastic smell when you first open the package, but it aired out within an hour -Zippers are a little stiff, so you better have someone helping you close the bag up or move quickly if your pet hates carriers (this will probably get better with use) Overall, I'd recommend the product. But Jaspurr.... not so much. Jaspurr is 14 pounds and very fluffy and he is way too big for this carrier. Bruce is 11 pounds, svelte and fits nicely. I love the front, back and top opening as well as a little half moon treat opening. Also has a nice shoulder strap and several pockets The insert is soft and zippered so can be removed and washed for any accidents. Pro tip: Leave your pet carriers open and accessible for your pets. That way they get used to them or like Bruce, naps in it and so if you have a true emergency, there is a lot less struggle getting them into their carrier. I have mine tucked away in the closet that my boys have access to. All in all, good price for a lovely carrier. I wonder if they have one size up for my big boy... ... show more

This was a last minute purchase before my cat Rosie’s first (unexpected last minute) flight, so my options for a soft carrier were somewhat narrowed down for me. I needed one-day shipping and free returns, as I planned to order a couple to be sure I liked one. I also was taking an express flight too, and room under the seat can sometimes be cramped. I needed a carrier that could conform to odd spaces, but not collapse. This fit the criteria! I’m giving this a 5, because 4+ isn’t an option. I love this with one important to me exception: the pockets. There are two small ones with zippers. I put calming spray, some treats and meds just in case, and they are very secure, but I would have liked something better suited to documents. Either a zipper on the part that slides over the luggage handle, or perhaps a tighter elastic or a Velcro flap on one of the side pockets. I needed to keep her shot records, and a leash with me, and the pockets weren’t secure enough for me to trust them. I also think it’s kind of ugly, would prefer other colors, but that really doesn’t matter. The pros far outweigh the cons, and unless I found these things with a great document pocket, I would buy this again and again. It takes its shape immediately, and holds it well. We were on an express flight, so the space under the seats is a bit limited at times. I needed a carrier that could confirm to odd spaces, but not collapse. This was perfect. This also had a top opening, locking zippers, seatbelt clips, and small opening I could reach in to pet her. It’s supposed to be a peeking window for your cat I think, but my skinny cat could climb right out. I love the locking zippers too. ... show more

We take a driving trip every weekend with our dog. I like that this bag can be buckled into the car, the bottom feels sturdy, and we keep his leash and medicine in the pockets of the bag. I'm also happy that there is a sleeve on the bag so it can slip over a rolling bag handle when flying. It was the largest bag I could find that is also small enough to be taken as a carry on. He seems to be more comfortable riding in the car in the bag than out of it. He has never attempted to get out so I can't comment on how well the mesh holds up if your pet is an escape artist. My dog is about 18" long, 10" tall and about 13 lbs. He's a large small dog so I wanted to make sure to get a bag big enough for him to ride in comfortably. He takes up only about half of the bag. I think another dog his size could fit into it with him comfortably. I added a picture of him sitting on a folded down seat in an SUV to get an idea of his size. ... show more
