  • Stabilo Pens Are Really Good
Size: Set of 8 Color: Pastel
I love how easy these pens are to use. But some, especially the lilac/lavender/purple one isn't really a pastel... it's still a nice color though. I think they would bleed through on light weight paper, so I often put a sheet of paper under the page I'm coloring. This set was received timely and in good condition from Amazon. Thank you Amazon. ... show more

  • Hobby artist
Size: Set of 30 Color: Multicolor
I purchased these just after buying the Point 88 30-set. The colors are mostly true to cap color. The pen is easy to hold and manipulate. I used them for small artwork, and they are great for a pen and wash effect when used along with Pigma Microns. I tested these on multiple art papers and with multiple brushes for water activation. They work very well on Strathmore 400 smooth bristol if you do not plan to use a water brush. If you want the wash effect, the rougher side of Canson XL smooth bristol was best and a Windsor & Newton Cottman round brush did best for manipulating the ink with water. Cheaper brushes like Masters Touch moved to much ink, and softer brushes like Princeton Velvet Touch were too soft and didn't move enough. Hot press watercolor paper, vellum surface, mixed media paper, and marker paper all had their own problems with these pens especially with water application. The Canson will hold up well with a gentle hand and care not to get an area too wet. Work in small sections because once the ink dries it does not wash easily or evenly. The darkest colors and the neons do not activate quite as well and may leave visible lines in the wash. For those, I apply a small circle of the ink on a ceramic pallet and use the damp paint brush to pick up the ink and then apply. I have used the Point 88s over the top of alcohol markers after drying, and they did well for shadow lining and detail lines. I have not tried the 68s over alcohol markers yet, but I can't imagine they would work much differently. Overall, I am very pleased with these pens and plan to purchase the full 47 colors soon. ... show more

  • I'm obsessed.
Size: Set of 30 Color: Multicolor
These pens are so great- the ink doesn't dry up, the colors are bright, and the selection is good. I use them almost daily and am so glad I found this product!

  • Good color but a little disappointed...
Size: Set of 30 Color: Multicolor
I love these. The colors are beautful and the pen design is nice and looks high end. Unfortunately they do bleed thru a little bit on my Posh coloring book. So I can kind of see the colors from the other side of the page. I do not like coloring with colored pencils as I have tendinitis in my hand and to get the deep colors I like you have to apply more pressure and it causes my hand to hurt after awhile making it hard to enjoy coloring. I wish I could buy more colors as well. The package says available in 46 colors but this pack only contains 30 and 6 of those are neon which look out of place in my opinion next to the other colors on the page. There is only 1 shade of purple and it's a darker purple and no orange (except neon) Yet there are 6 shades of green - the assortment almost seems random. I wish I had gotten the bigger pack of 50 but I didn't realize it was available until I just attempted to search for a pack of the remaining colors not included in this one. But the color is good they're easy to use and the tip is fine enough for me to do some of the smaller details in my book. But my book also isn't super detailed like some others out there. ... show more

  • Love these pens
Size: Set of 30 Color: Multicolor
I like the fiber tip. It's sturdy but not scratchy like many fineliners. I just wish I could get my hands on more colors!

  • These pens are great for coloring and drawing
Size: Set of 30 Color: Multicolor
These pens are great for coloring and drawing. The ink is fairly blendable (for a water-based marker). It will bleed through and scrub the paper on some papers, but on good quality paper (such as in Johanna Basford's Enchanted Forest), I can get the colors to blend. My one criticism is the color variation in this particular set. In my experiences, the neon colors do not lay down on the paper as well as the standard colors. I feel like I'm coloring with a highlighter, and that's not my favorite. This set contains 6 neon colors which I think could perhaps be sold separately for those who like neon and other colors could be included instead. This set contains a wide variety of shades of green and blue. There are, however, only one shade of orange, one shade of yellow, one shade of pink (outside of neon), and two shades of brown. So if you're wanting to color lots of fall scenes or sunset-colored scenes, you might want to consider a different set or purchase some individual pens so that you can get more orange, yellow, brown, and red shades. ... show more
